Thanks for the help on DEI, but what I now would like to know the setting and gear for Meshuggah's Chaosphere.
Ibanez 7-string guitars
Marshall cabs and head
DR strings (9-52)
Lundgren pickups (Model M)
This I know, but does anyone know specifics? And settings.
Any suggestions, Master Holland?

mate, go to the guitar forums on meshuggah.net
theyve got a full listing of all equipment mesh have used in the studio, although i dont think they have any settings, but it should be straightforward working it out.

if you want that wierd short percussive sound like in the song Neurotica... just pump up the distortion and the midrange... and palm mute it as heavy as you can... it should raise your fretted note a semitone though...
