DVD Videos of Death Metal/Black Metal Drummers...
I did a quick search and didn't come up with anything that seemed quite what I was looking for, so I figured I'd just come up with something new to ask you all.
Ok, bullshit aside, I want some videos of Drum Solos, generally speaking from Death Metal bands if possible. The best thing I like about drum solos is a beat laid over constant furious double bass. Don't know why, but that's always my favorite part of the solo. So, if you guys could give me some suggestions of something I could get, preferably on DVD, of something close to what I'm looking for, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm going to assume you don't already know all this, even though you may.
Derek roddy put out a video a few years ago that's awsome. It has three solos, and 2 exercises. It is only available on VHS, but I have a copy on DVD. I don't have a DVD burner, so that's no help to you. 
Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy) is releasing an instuctional DVD supposedly this month. It is a 2 disc set. One all instructional, one all show-offy. Other than that, I don't personally know of any. However, there are lot's of great clips on the net, so....
you may already have these clips, but they're awsome.

then there is KC howard playing during a jam session with Decrepit Birth that you can DL off this thread.
If you go to Half man, half machine and click on Darren Cesca (Goratory/pillory) and download the videos under his media section, you'll like them too. Plus a lot of drummers there have videos posted. (read: Berzerker)
I have derek Roddy also playing one of the three solos from his first video in MPG format that I could send somehow. (MSN/Yousendit.com, Whatever)
Then there is M.T. Garret's directory (Worlds fastest drummer guy)with a ton of assorted shit, but I don't know if everyone is allowed to DL from there or not.....
Plus George Kollias from Nile has a few clips posted.
I hope this helps you for now, till Flo's DVD is out. |

oh and Flo has a DVD coming out in november, not october, I have seen some of the clips from it, all I have to say, is it inspires my to pick up drum sticks and shames me into putting them down again at the same time, Flo is not human!
