Written for someone dear to me. I told him I was looking at a flyswatter and wanted to hit him with it right about then. He laughed. More just a verse of thoughts than a song. It took some time to write it and it didn't go the direction I thought it would, but I think it turned out okay. I'll send it to him one of these days. walpurgis will know who I mean.

Talking to the Wall

You spend your time trying to hide from yourself
Trying to be the big shot and the leader of the band
But as soon as the rain falls around you
And washes all your treasures away
You're alone and trying to do it all over again

You tell me that you don't know if you'll make it this time
You think it's gonna be a hard fall
Are you going to see tomorrow
On your hands and knees you crawl
You crawl again

Everyone that matters can see what you're doing
But those around you now really don't care
Fair weather friends that surround you
Keeping you from that loneliness
You're just buying friends to pass your time

Trying to make an impression
Or pushing your life to the edge
Someday you'll make a mistake
And it won't be worth it
Hopefully you won't be dead

It's me you call when you get to that point
Like you need some reassurance to stay grounded
I don't bat an eye anymore from your ventures
You know what to do and it's all up to you
But you can talk to me whenever you want

Once again, good shit woman.

I won't probably respond much more than that to these, unless I can offer some sort of constructive criticism, which I would only do for lyrics. I never altered my poems when I used to write, because they were based on emotion. And I know I won't feel quite that same way again as I did whenever I wrote it, not exactly, so even if I think it's all fucked up 10 minutes later, it was still perfect for the moment. But I did want to let you know that I read it and I know who you're talking about.

That's cool. I thought you'd know. I'm glad to see you comment on my pieces when you do especially when you offer something like this. Although the "you're a turd" remarks always make me react, too.
I've got lots more where they came from, but I've slowed down a lot from the way I was writing the past few years.
But if you see something in anything I've written that you think needs some work or needs correction be sure and tell me. I don't mind a bit. And I'd like to read some of your stuff sometime. I've searched your room and can't find anything! lol j/k

The only thing I had was what I gave to Rachael. I burned the ones I wrote in high school awhile back, because I didn't want to think about those things anymore.

nh'-- It's pretty much explanatory to what it's about without coming on and being specific. Someone we know likes to be entertaining and flaunt it a bit, but only because he has very low self esteem and gets lonely very easily. He doesn't do it in a positive way though.
