immolation - failures for gods album
has anyone tried tabbing FFG?
i can only make out a riff or 2 with that shit bassy production that i love so much, plus my cd player is at work, so i can only work from memory.
all this adds up to nothing though...
im really keen on trakks 4, 6, 7 and 8.
any help is greatly appreciated.

i've got a fairly good idea of how to play the big-assed outro melody in The Devil I Know.
i havn't got my guitar around at the moment, but i think it was something like this:
Code:
-11b—12b~~~~-12h14b------------------------------------
---------------------12~~~~-11--12--891112-14p12-14p12-
-------------------------------------...-.--------------
--------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------
then play the same the same melody one octave lower and a bit slower.

i might get around to try tab some immo as soon as i've tuned up to C(B currently).
i'll probably try to tab something off CTAWB in that case, partly because it's a superior album song-wise, mainly because the production is less messy.

amen to that bro. i've never even bothered trying anything off Failures...i listened really closly once in the hopes of tabbing, but the production is just too fucked...which is wierd since it comes after Here in After but HIA sounds more clear. in conclusion...good luck with Failures people, cause that shit aint gunna ever be tabbed par moi.

So I'm getting this album off of ebay for 6 bucks, including shipping and handling...was it a good deal then? I have CTAWB and I really like it, so I was just curious if it was as good.
Sorry I can't add anything as far as it's tabs go, but I figure I wouldn't start another thread for this, just wanted a couple replies from people.
Any of you guys know what settings (eq and such) Immolation use on their songs? I've tried to play a few, and it doesn't sound near right, so I'm not sure if I'm using fucked up tabs or if it's the way I have it set up.

im kinda regretting starting on tabbing unsaved, the sound is so fukking shit hard to tell bass from drums from guitars, but ive been at it on my day off and ive only got half the solo and half the riffs to show for a days work, which is not good enough.
im gonna try and finish it off as soon as my shoulder is better koz its just too painful at the moment.
update: ive almost finished, leads are done and most of the riffs, only missing a couple of riffs though.

right on andres, keep it up!
wally, that and the new CD are my least favourite of Immo, but for $6 you can't go wrong at all. as for EQ settings and stuff i don't know - but if your playing songs tabbed by people from other sites then your not playing the right ones.

Hmm, well I've gathered that the production quality isn't the best, but what else is bad about it? And are any of their other albums better than CTAWB? I really like that cd.

The production on Failures For Gods/Here In After is much better than that super clear tone they have going on in their more recent albums.

unholy was their best production, it fit them perfectly. failiures would be dead on perfect if it wasnt for the untriggered bass drums

This has nothing to do with failures, but what the hell:
i am currently working hard on tabbing Unpardonable Sin.
i'm using the everlastingfire.com -tab as a guideline, although the immo-dvd helps alot too.
if anyone is interested in doing a pt version of the song, please contact me.
stay tuned folks
