Ok well I have had this amp for less than a year and it already seemed to have messed up on me (well at least I think so..) The problem is a bit hard to explain but I'll give it a shot. One day i was playing my guitar and out of nowhere the sound kinda died on me. Now when i have the volume at like say 5, it sounds like it is only at 1 or 2. i was messing around with the speaker wires in the back and i moved them around and i got the sound back temporarily. I'm thinking maybe it could be just a soldering problem but I'm not too sure. My amp is still under Crate's 1 yr limited warranty but i wanna try and find out whats wrong with it before i go spending money to repair it. i would rather fix it myself instead of having to spend money on it. if you guys can help me find out whats wrong it would be much appreciated!!! thanks guys

well it seems as though no one knows anything about my problem and i have become sad... I had to give back the amp my friend let me borrow and now im stuck with this crate that doesnt function properly!! please if anyone knows whats wrong tell me!!!!

Open her up and check the solder on the speaker wires.Has it got busted power-amp tubes?(if its tube)

its solid state

but yeah call crate or email them

1 year warranty means they fix it for free... and i think the 1 year part really stands for "we need a year to fix it".

check the wires/solder first, if you can make a decent solder connection, try to redo them. If it doesn't work, get it back to Crate a.s.a.p.
