Hey all,

I've finally settled here down under and found time to archive all pending tabs up to 3 days old. From now on it should take on average one week and no longer than 10 days to have your tabs archived. Thanks for bearing with me last few months.

Next thing I want to tell is about tunings. I normally accept tabs if they are in the same tuning as played by the band. The standard tuning is also fine as I know many of you hate re-tune their axes. If you disagree with this rule please post in this thread.

Also, lately there've been a few tabs submitted on behalf of others. I will reject those no matter how quality and official they are. The best thing you can do is to persuade the original authors into submitting them here themselves.

The only exception from this rule is when you did substantial work on re-formatting and fixing the tab and/or converting it to another format (GP or PT). I this case the original author must be given a proper credit in the tab.

How is that going to work?

Most bands you have to change your tuning for are like, lower than E and of course they inevitably take advantage of the lower notes you can reach which arent available in E?

Am i just being really ignorant somewhere along the line here???

And just a quick question, why arent you taking tabs submitted by others? It doesnt really bother me because I found where they are but I would like to share with others. Plus I have an e-mail I could provide saying that he allows it.

Because people will start submitting stolen tabs claiming they have the consent. Why don't you ask that guy to sumbit his Opeth tabs here?

I tried but he doesnt want to take the time to sign up and belong to another forum. And since you need to be a member (obvioulsy) to post tabs.....he is lazy but still a good guy.
