Best clean guitar, tele?
Right, so im wanting to build myself a guitar that will be used for clean solely. However, im not sure which guitar to mimic it on, i was thinking the Tele as it seems to be a good choice although any other suggestions would be cool.
Also can anyone give me directions to templates/dimensions for building a guitar like this, i can't seem to find any?

The only things that will matter are the woods used, thickness and pickups. So just pick any guitar you fancy.
Do you have any experience in woodworking/building guitars?
Edit: Concerning templates, I'm not sure if you can find print-off templates, but here's a supplier I just found:

If you don't want to order from the US, your best bet would be to contact luthiers over here.

Yea, i did an A-Level in Design Tech, in which i studied guitar-making techniques. Im gonna try and do a DeathCS and try and get some experience with a tech (place in Croydon ) I was thinking the Tele design as its a fairly simple one
Question: Which pickups will give me an ultra clean sound, and i was thinking swamp ash for the body, good idea?

i Agree with what fox said.
A jazz style guitar will bring forth great victory if you are looking to use it for clean only.

Yea, im on the lookout for a great clean amp, my Laney has a really nice clean channel- proper bright and nothing to fault on at all, but i wanna have a dedicated clean amp that just has that something that makes it sound great, along with the guitar

i love tele's, but i use mine for metal, so the style doesnt really have much to do with what you use it for. with that said, swamp ash would be good, and you could always go for vintage tele p/u's.

it's realy a matter of taste. some people like hollow bodies, some like strats for clean, some like gibson type guitars.

Also makes a good point. Telecaster neck pickups are fucking fantastic for clean

Roland JC-120
Anything made of alder and swamp ash will be good for cleans. A tele is nice because it has lots of wood around the pickups. My favorite sound for cleans on my Carvin is with the p/up slector in the middle position, the neck coil tapped and the bridge in humbucking mode, so mayby something like a Jazz or 59' humbucker in the bridge might be what your looking for.

What would give better cleans? Alder or ash?
