Need help with AMP and MIC

Alright so i got my Behringer XM8500 and I have my Peavey Audition 110(I dont have money right now to buy a better one) and I have to like sing really close to the mic for people to hear me is there a way i can fix that? so i can have the mic like 2 feet away and u can hear me crisp clear? if u need to know, the settings on my amp are Pre , Post , Low , Mid , High , and Reverb please help!

sing louder and turn up the mic. compression is your friend.
