Stormblast 2005
has anyone already heard the new release of Stormblast? I'm gonna download it tonight and hope that Dimmu Borgir doesn't ruin one their best releases...

I've downloaded that promo and it was pretty good.
Nar Sjelen Hentes Til Helvete (or something like that) was my favorite.

oh yes. i had forgotten there was going to be a re-release. awesome. ill pick it up for sure. its not my favorite album, Enthrone darkness triumphant is, but Stormblast is right up there. i cant imagine they would "ruin" it. well, if the keyboardist used those crappy Star Trek sounding keyboards like on Death cult, then maybe. but im hoping he sticks to the original settings. that would suck though if the keyboards fucked it up. Death cult sounds like the music on that Star wars game "shadows of the empire". so cheap.

Stormblast doesn't sound anything like the original... they made it all melodic and "technical". The charm of stormblast was that it was simple true black metal

hmmm... a week of listening to it and I still can't figure out if I like it or not! The overall sound is way too heavy and I hate the sound of the kick. But it some songs sound pretty good...

Sorry to bring back an old thread,but I just recently picked this one up and was pleasently suprised.Seems like almost every song has tons more depth.Only flaws to me is no keyboard intro to "Alt Lys Er Svunnet Hen" and the new "Sorgens Kommer".Either way this is a great re-issue.The DVD is killer also.
