Feedback

I play a Marshal through a single EMG pickup and use a Digitech Badmonkey and Boss NS-2 and im getting some nasty feedback. Would a BBE compressor be the way to go to get rid of this? I dont really want to spend more than like 100-150. What would be one of the cheapist compressors that actually works?

you have an ns-2 and still get feedback? have you turned up the gate ?
the BBE wont do a thing to help with the feedback

ok, question two.
do you have the cables going in the 'input' and 'output' and not the 'send' and 'recieve'

This doesn't make since to me. You should not have any major feedback issues with that setup. The only thing I can think of is maybe you got the amps distortion cranked with the badmonkey being cranked as well. I know that would be about the only way to cause serious feedback with that set up. Make sure the badmonkey is before the input ( don't crank it up to high if you are using amp distortion as well ) and the NS is in the FX loop.

Hope that helps.

the Bad Monkey is just a boost, so even if they are both cranked, an NS-2 should be able to supress it. There's got to be a problem with the NS-2. Either you have it set up wrong or it's defective or something....

the monkey need to be before tha amp and the ns 2 needs to be in the loop.
right?
dont forget to set the gain on pedal and amp according to each other. even if your boosting you need to turn the gain down on the amp a little to compensate.
