Flat tunings?
I've been wondering this for quite a while. I tune my guitar when I'm sitting up straight and holding it straight. I realized that when I bend the guitar towards the floor the notes become flat on the tuner. Does anybody know why?

That's actually kinda funny. Maybe it's your bridge. Floater?

The only thing i can think of is maybe the bridge if it's a floating trem. Maybe gravity puts more or less pressure a certain way on the neck with the way you're holding it.

Lol, that is weird as hell, but it kinda makes since. If the body front is facing the floor then gavity ( a pretty stong force ) is going to pull on the neck and/or floating brigde and lessen the string tention a bit. I would think your tuning would sound sharp if the back of the guitar were facing the ground. Not a huge problem really though... as long as it only changes by a cent or 2. That is just the nature of all things machanical and that are precision tuned within a gravitational field.

I don't have a floating bridge. It is a fixed bridge. Maybe it does have to do something with gravity. Yea it change mildly; not a lot. I was wondering if anybody else tried it and see if they get the same thing as me.

That happens to me and my POS squire. It does it as well when i am playing. I think it would be kind of cool to do a whole song in E and have one of the last note end with it "detuning" itself. It would fuck up tabbers quite nicely.
