Twinned bands
I think there are some bands we just somehow mentally twin, like the French do with Scottish townsand their own.
For me, these twinnings exist:
Cradle Of Filth - Dimmu Borgir
Morbid Angel - Deicide
Slayer - Metallica
Metallica - Iron Maiden (alternative to above)
Meshuggah - Hypocrisy
Mnemic - In Flames
There are more.
I think it's because they share key things. Dimmu - Cradle both leading black metal bands, are actually very rivalrous
Morbid Angel - Deicide both spawn of Florida's sunswamps, both members of the original death outbreak
Meshuggah - Hypo' both Swedish death
Slayer - Meta' both issued debut in 1983 A.D. Parallel in many aspects

Sorry for insulting you all but you can't deny that some bands are twinned. Judas - Maiden is more suitable, true. I didn't mean that they are equally as good or anything. We all like different ones and so-on-so-forth.

At least from the Angel to Nile, you can hear some adopted leadwork ideas. Listen to Enshrined By Grace (Angel) and Black Seeds Of Vengeance or Black Hand Of Set (forgotten which one, Nile). Listen to the soloes. There are some definite similiarities. Maybe different scales yeah, but...

Talking of bands who sound alike "twins" is the word used does that mean every gore grind band was all spat out of the same obese womans vagina? cuz that all sounds pretty much the same.
