My friend's band Cylidian..what do you think?
OK here is my friends band. They are called Cylidian.

Personally I hate the clean vocals. I don't know they said they wanted to be Death Thrash but they sound really Metalcore to me.
I mean they are kinda my friends so i'll support them and whatever but I don't really dig their music too much.

I used to promote my friends band everywhere on the internet too. But I don't need to now - since they've toured with Dismember and are on Unique Leader, haha.
On topic, not fond of it at all.

its pretty cool, vox arent that bad, the BAND part is awsome and the clean vox are HOMO-SEX GAY-TASTIC, i also closed the window as soon as i heard it

The music is actually allright. Sounds a bit like Avenged Sevenfold, but other than that, it's rather good. Some cool riffs and melodies there.
I don't like the death metal vocals, not with this band, not with any band.
However, as ashamed as I am of this, as soon as the dude started singing, I was like "Go back to growling".
It just sounded so fucking stupid and out of place. Just a random verse out of fucking nowhere, I was like "What the fuck?".
They should get a decent singer and tell that dude to shut the fuck up. If they could somehow magically get Matt Barlow to sing for them, they would be the shit. But then again, any band would.
BTW, I definitely heard some Maiden influences in there, which is always a good thing. Overall, I'd say this band has a lot of good potential, they just need to get a good singer, and forget about death metal, because they sound like everything but.

That's not too bad, vocals could do with a bit more tweaking but nothing that can't be fixed with a little more work, like spending longer on doing the vox when recording or double tracking them(time and money permitting).  |
