Simple and easy,for the Megadeth song,I wanna play something when it comes to the Chris Poland solo and I cant find any tabs of it and therefore I wanna write a solo for it.Now my problem is,I cant seem to find a good scale/idea to work with the rythm of it,since its lacks of modal structure and even when I could just do E pentatonics,phrygian or aeolian scales,I wanna do a lil more than that since they dont sound right to me with the riffs.So what Im askin is,what would you do for this solo?

Well you could follow the changes modally. . . looking for augmented fourths(for lydian), augmented sixths in minor(Dorian), b2 b3 b5 b6 b7 (Locrian. . . ) yeah I'm sure you get the general Idea. . . a lot of it is just playing the changes. . . that is how you make it sound much better. . . .But I don't exactly know how to explain what you are asking because well. .. . yeah. . . or use a relative key but different mode yeah . . . okay anyways like starting from the fifth instead of the root and harmonize heavily. . . makes the eighties sound. hope that helped later

the second wit the progression that goes e5 some open e,g#5/g5 then more e then d#5/e5 then more e then g#5/g5 again then e5/d#5 then a/bflat to land in d5.I cant get a modal feel because of the 3rd being lowered.What I could do for that is "blues" it around if you know what I mean.So a possibility is to go thru blues pentatonics or a different root note.Then for the D# to E,harmonic/melodic minor doesnt fit the unstable third so scratch that.Maybe a major mode with a flat third added could work but I dont know,I guess I could just go apeshit and play a lick for each measure to go with the chords but then the chords are like passing chords so they dont really give tonality.FUCK,see what I run into?what would you do for the solo?

If you know the chords of the rhythm, then play scales with those tones in em. Each time you change chords, you can find the unique set of tones that will harmonize with that chord. Along with modal shifts, that's what I would do.

now my problem is,that the chords just slide and arent there long enough to say,arpeggiate them,or even hold the least bend.So the e minor thing is what I will probably end up doing,but it still sounds uneasy...

make em quick, usually non scale tones are inbetween two others like say your going from
an A# to B# then maybe throw in a quick B like a A# (h) B (h) B# type thing
