i have it but still haven't listened to it.

got it off mininova.org, in case you're wondering.

update: not bad. loud bass, nice production and a couple of out of place stuff (like the metalcorish bit at 2:00 during Unborn).

otherwise, it's quite good.

huge problem though. all the songs fade out and then fade in again near the end. it's really weird since you think the song is ending and then, BAM, fade in out of nowhere.

I remember you not liking Ghouls of Grandeur, and I remember calling you something like a queermo Dutch pillock.

Still don't have it.

Grimfist achieved! Now for the listenings...

Whee!

This is good. This band has grown up a bit. There is much more variety than Ghouls of Grandeur, and more influences becoming apparent (some thrashy moments in the first few tracks, some Morbid Angel moments in Unborn, a big dose of Amon Amarth in Ashes of the Gods, an eerie Testament-style into to Tools of the Trade etc.) but all undoubtedly Grimfist. The sound is less wall-of-noise, the vocals are clearer and the production is a trifle cleaner, which adds up to much more coherent music. This is a good thing, because this band is too interesting to be lost down the tired path of brutal death chainsaw gutfuck mega-technical cunting McDestruction. Some of the songs aren't really convincing, but all of it is clearly executed and utterly punishing.

I'll be listening to this for a while.
