Tense your stomach in the lower region and make it come from the back of your throat. At least that's what I do.

yeah John's right, use your diaphram, it'll take you a while, but you can get if you practice it enough
by the by, my vocalist can go higher and lower than randy and many others it's fucking righteous as hell |

like with just about everything you'll need to practice until you're personally satisfied, or oyu can just work at it ubtli other people think it's okay, but go for personnal satisfaction. and if you're someone who is never satisfied no matter how good it is, then you're gonna be fuckin awesome (or at least maybe, if you practice)

If you hold your shoulders down, put one hand right above your belly button, and inhale deeply you should feel your hand move out and in. That's breathing from your diaphragm. It's where hiccups come from. If your shoulders are going up then you're probably breathing more from the lungs than there. It takes some practice, but it will be natural after a little while.
