Jackson King-V: 2nd hand price of this guitar??
I might consider buying this guitar. He says it's pre-fender, is in B tuning (with stock pick-ups and bolt-on neck). It's not a USA but it does say KV-2 on the neck, according to the guy.
I'm not sure about the price cause he seems to be asking too much. How much would you estimate this thing? Thanks!

Edit: I'm also not sure to which series it actually belongs.

About 700 euro's, lol. At least, that's his suggestion, I can always make my own offer. No idea if it's a bad or good deal.

Okay, now, I am Israeli so here "first hand" Jackson like that costs here something like 2500 shekels
1 Euro = 5 Shekels
so it should cost something around 500 Euro I think

Not a KV-2 im afraid could be a kv3 or more likely an older pro model.
I was going to buy one like this its an old performer ok but not worth 700 euros secondhand doubt they sold that for new...

Fender bought Jackson in 2000-2001. The last year they made KV-1s were in 98'. Before that there was no KV-2... ever. There was the next best thing called a KV-3 but it was made in Japan and was special import to the U.S. at least, but it was neck-thou just like the KV-1. The only difference was the headstock and some hardware. Plus, all the KV-1,2,3s have sharkfin inlays, MOP, and neck-thou construction in common with each other. that is not my any means a KV-2 of any kind, to my knowledge.
That looks like a PS-2 if anything. They are made well but not have been known to have quality control problems and the stock pups are pure shit. Not a bad guitar, once modified, but not worth 700 Euro by any means. You could get a real use KV-1 or 2 for that price. I wouldn't actually pay more then 100 Euro for it.
I think it is a scam is this dude is trying to sell this thing as a KV-2.
Ask for a picture of the serial number and check it with the Jackson web site.

HI!
Proffesionals are JAcksons not made in the USA, I think
I think there are two model included in the preoffesional series.
We have got the dot inlays ones. I think they aren´t very good.
And the Sharkfin inlys ones. These are lates 80,s and I think they are very good, but the price the people pays for them is something like this:
http://cgi.ebay.es/JACKSON-PROFESSI...yphotohost ing
I found this in e-bay and I think this is a good deal.

Yes, someone we both know, posted the serial number on the jackson forums to ask in which year it was built.
Probably an old performer series, no? He says it's not a USA but has nonetheless KV-2 written on it somewhere.

He quoted something to me like this, just now:
At that time, there were only 2 models of the "King V" guitar available: The KV-1 Dave Mustaine Signature, which had a Kahler flat mount bridge(List Price: $1795), and this one, which at the time, was the KV-2. This King V STD Model was only made for 2 years, 1996, and 1997. Then, in 1998, this Japanese Made KV-2 turn (...)
And the KV-2 model number went to the non-signature model American version of the King V as we know it today.
Like this one, he said: http://www.guitarcrazy.com.au/JacksonPKVStd.htm
