Audacity question..

Hey folks, I don't know if any of you have this recording program (Audacity) on your computer, but if any of you do, i would like to know if it is at all possible to play an mp3 through audacity (I know how), slow down the tempo (i already know how) and filter out the drums and vocals so i can only hear the guitar. I was messing around with it today and i slowed down the songs, but the vocals and drums are sometimes too loud and it makes it hard to har some of the guitar work. I am trying to learn/tab some songs on my own and am trying to get rid of the other stuff so i just hear the guitar. now if any of you know how to do this or if it is even possible on this program, please let me know! thanks a lot guys

You may want to try reaching the people who made it.

I use Audacity also. Seeing as how its free wear there is a fairly good chance that you can't do that with this program but if you find out that there is a way would you mind posting it on here?

Yea, I use it to, i love it, but I dont know about the whole filtering out the drums thing. I know of another program that can do that though, not off hand though, ill look into it.

Try using EQ to cut out some stuff best you can - or even boost some to get the guitar louder.
