Did I make a good purchase
Ok fella's....I am pretty much a novice at live sound here, but I have been doing a lot of reading. I'm the drummer of my metal band that is trying to put together a decent sound system for an upcoming show.(About 100 people at a local community center) Here's what I purchased. Any comments, good or bad will be greatly appreciated.
(2) speaker cabs made by steelsound. Supposedly made from birch and loaded with Eminence delta 15's (500 watts RMS) and a titanium horn.
(2) double 15's, same speakers as above, cabs made by same company, same wood.(1000 watts RMS)
(2) 12" Legacy sound stage monitors (150 Watts RMS) made by the same company as the other speakers.
(1) QSC 2450 that I hope will power the mains.
(1) Peavy Deltaflex effects processor.
(1) Sabine FBX 900 feedback eliminator.
(1) Leem 1604 channel passive mixer. (similar to Mackie 1604)
Did I buy crap or will this system rock? Am I forgetting anything? Oh yeah, any suggestions on an amp to run the monitors? I am looking at a Carvin DCM600....too small?
Thanks!
Dan

I can't comment too much on equipment since I own so little of it, but for users on here to evaluate "did I make a good purchase" correctly, you should prob include a price for what you paid.

This good to hear, I was afraid I bought a bunch of crap! I just bought another QSC amp (RMX 850) to run the monitors, so the grand total is $1733.00. Some of it was a killer deal like the monitors for $77.00....GOD I LOVE e-BAY! Now if I can figure out how to hook it all up. I do not understand the difference between an 8 ohm load and a 4 ohm load.

Ohms are the unit of electrical resistance.

Match the ohm load from the amp, to the ohm load on the speakers? The company who sold me the speakers recommends using "Two 1/4" to banana cables to go from the amp to the subs. From there you should use a couple short 1/4" to 1/4" speaker cables to jump from the subs to the mains. This will make the QSC amp see a 2.66ohm load per channel, allowing it to produce max power (2400 watts) 1200 watts per channel."
Are they right? I just don't want to blow up any speakers.

I suppose you are going to use the "double 15's" as sub-basses right?
If so.. I think you might need a "crossover", I think they are called that way, and I didn't see one in your list
