Maybe you should lower it more, they body should be more to the right and the neck outwards a bit. Your fretting hand doesn't have to be perfectly straight.

Lower the guitar down past your knees. This way, in order to play anything, you will have to bend down, which will give you tons of stage presence. Tune it to Drop A flat and play nothing but open power chords.
I don't know, I keep mine at about waist height, too high to be considered metal, but it's pretty comfortable. The lower you go with it, the less freedom you'll have to move about the fretboard.
Start out with your guitar really high, and then just lower it down in small increments to see what fits best and is most comfortable. Don't worry about looking cool and badass; being comfortable is the most important thing. When you can play your guitar comfortably, you'll make less mistakes, which will give you more confidence in your playing, which will make you look cool no matter how high or low your guitar is hanging.

Haha yeah... I'm basically repeating everyone, but I play with my guitar strapped up really high. Actually, it still feels uncomfortable for me to play like that (which is why I'll never be in a band, unless the let me sit.) I think it's just something you have to get used to.

I think the point of how you play sitting down is the even bigger problem. If i had to assume, you play hunched over rather than upright with better posture. You can't obviously play hunched over when standing up, or at least too comfortably. Not too many people know to have good posture but it really does more than you think. Your hand will position better on the fretboard and chording becomes much much easier. If i had to guess this would be the problem.
To correct it, try to play alot standing up, even if its uncomfortable alot, then make small adjustments every so often. Sooner or later, you will be fine with a certain adjustment and will be able to play fine. Then when it comes to sitting down, just try your best to have better posture.

I never tried standing until after a year of playing sitting down.
It felt odd at first when jamming standing but eventually fell in place.
I stand mostly now days.

i keep my strap so my picking arm stays at about a 45 degree angle, feels pretty comfortable, but like they others were saying, its better to bve comfy than to look cool unless u suck either way, then just worry about looking cool
because thats the only chance you have at getting into a band.

its not that the one side is bigger than the other, its just that they are even.
so tilted like it is makes it look like that, it is a sweet guitar and helmet combo

My strap has 2 holes to hook the guitar onto. Im more comfortable playing with it lower, at waist height.
But for sweeping or fast lead playing on high frets i set it on the higher hole.

Practice standing from now on, you'll get used to it. the only reason why it's uncomfortable is cause you're not used to it.

Haha still no. That helmet is my baby, it's cast from the original ANH helmets. Just check ebay UK/DE or something, good Stormtrooper helmets are always up there. I got it for around £120 by the way.

if you play a lot of leads, then I find it is better up high as the higher frets are more accessable without bending your wrist into strange shapes.

what fixed my wrist problem was put the neck at a 45 or 50 degree angle, so that the headsock is 10-14 inches from my ear. for strap height... i make it so my picking arm is at a right angle so id be picking around or above my bellybutton.

It depends for me.
My Ibanez I play really high.
My Warlock I play about medium hight.
and My King V I play Low so that I hunch over. I don't know it just seems more comfortable to me...plus it makes me look like Mille from Kreator. LOL
It really depends on what you play.

I play kinda low with my lp, i have the guitar a bit over my knees. I've heard it's good to practice with the strap low and then when you get better, set it higher. Correct me if i'm wrong.

ive always played medium high, just about an inch lower than when im sitting down its most comfortable that way. i usually play standing when i play heavy shit, so i can headbang without blowing myself
