Need help!

I have an old ibanez RG560 and I have recently been experimenting with drop tunings. I bought the zakk wylde boomers that go up to .60 gauge. The guitar was doing fine in all the drop tunings that I tried, but when I tried to tune back to a standard tuning, my floyd rose started to rock foward towards the neck. Now my action is very high and I can't get the standard tuning out of the guitar.

1.Dont put zakk wylde boomers on a floyd and tune to standard unless you really want to and know what your doing.

2.Your gonna have to add or adjust the springs under the trem to compensate for the higher gauge.

3. Use search, there have been 1,000 threads about peoples floyds fucking up cause they dont know how to use them.

Like H said every time you down tune like that you need to have your guitar properly set up to accommodate the stress put on the neck , And when you want to return to normal tuning same thing is true you have to set up the guitar to re adjust . 12 gauge is very heavy for normal tuning, you will put alot of stress on your neck ,i would stay with no higher than 10 s. Have your guitar set up by a guy who knows whats he doing and it should be fine.
good luck

i have .13's on my floyd guitar and its fine, but i guess my neck is no where near as thin as an ibanez wizard so i guess thats why.
