Blue Voodoo weirdness
So I bought an amp off ebay that I thought was a blue voodoo 60 head.
I take it out of the box, and it's a 120. For $200. I'm happy about this.
However..there's one oddness. It doesn't seem to have a clean channel?
Channel 2 seems to be your regular "high gain" channel and I assume channel 1 is supposed to be the clean one except..it's not clean. It's a light classic rock sounding distortion..
Anyone have any idea what gives? It hasn't been modded or anything as far as I know, but it's used so I suppose anything's possible.

It has to be modded. Channel 1 on a BV is clean as clean can get, it doesnt have a gain knob at all.

That's the thing, it doesn't have a gain knob, it's just this consistent level of distortion.
So yeah, maybe..

Hmm strange. I have one from the same years as yours, but It's a 60. I've got great cleans (on Channel 1 of course).
Oh and your BV does have a gain knob, if it doesn't work then it's probably some wiring problem.

try adjusting the lead channels gain knob, it may affect the clean's.

I've tried that..nope.
Oddly, the master volume doesn't affect the clean channel, either, only its own volume knob..
