Has anybody seen the new zakk wylde custom axe. It's Made By dean, and it looks just like dimebag's Guitars but with a mix of an SG Look. They are about to start making them, and i just want to know if anybody has any other info. about it.

I just seen a pic in a recent issue of guitar world, they look sweet. Got the hypnosis design on the razorback body.

Is it the razorback with the bulleyes ?
if so thats one that Dime had Dean make just for Zakk.
If theres another wow, But i dont know if he could because hes endorsed by gibson unless his contract is up , If so better stock up on the Gibson Zakk Paul because theyre about to be dis continued and be worth big bucks.

And finally if given a choice between a Dean Zakk , not that Dean is a bad guitar and a Gibson Zakk, Ill take the Gibson thank you .

I have a Dean schenker Custom and Dean Dime O flame nice guitars but my gibsons are much much much better.

As far as I know that guitar is not available for production, but rather being contemplated for production.

It's basically like the Dean ML, but w/ the bulls-eye and the top portion of the body is like an SG, it's a double cut-away.

Some of dean stuff is good , but who in their right mind is going to spend $2800 on a signed Schenker Dean , when the fact is Schenker played a Gibson V in his heyday and only very recently because of his endorsement deal began playing Dean.

I have 2 Deans , The schenker custom nice guitar ,Had to swap pick ups , And The dean O flame ,the better of the two. IMHO my LTD MH1000 and DV-8r are better.

He has too many Lp's to just break up w/ them now.

But he is exclusively signed by gibson to endorse their guitars if he endorses dean Im sure Gibson will say well Zakk Go fuck your self.Unless Gibson signs off on it and gets a cut which I doubt. The Dime guitar which dime gave him is one thing but if Zakk puts his name on another axe other than gibson, thats a diffrent story . Look Id love to see a Zakk Dean , The Gibson is around $3800 , Id buy a Zakk Dean for less than a k

I'm sure these contracts have time limits on them and afterwards the artist can happily leave if he so wishes. I have no idea about this particular contract though.

Gibson is ussually chill with that kinda stuff, lots of people are endorsed by gibson and another company at the same time. Metallica used to be (maybe still is) I know Opeth is endosed by PRS and Gibson, etc.

Gibson is a funny company ,they dont give a shit , They wont allow Zakk to endorse another Axe. They will discontinue his line. And that means big bucks for Zakk. If I had my choice Id rather have a Gibson endorsement than a Dean one. And as cool as the Dean looks I wouldnt pay more than $800 for it . Whereas the Zakk Paul goes for over 3 k .

The difference being Opeth doesnt have a line of Gibson , There is no Opeth Les Paul , So Opeth or Metallica can use what ever they want. Also as you know Metallica has signature series ESPs/LTDs
They dont have a signature series Gibson. Gibson usually only does a signature series if the user is strictly a gibson user , or if the person is a legend like Pete Townsend who does play other guitars besides Gibson.
but once a person gets paid by another company to have his name on another guitar , Gibson will tell ya to fuck off .

Those aren't the ones. Those are just regular Dime Razorbacks. The ZW SG/V hasn't been released yet.

That guitar looks nasty and its not worth what they are asking for it.
The Dime O flame is a nice axe under a grand looks alot better IMHO

It doesn't look too bad (the one on the Dean page at the top), except putting the swirly black white paint job on that Razorback raises it's gayness-level several hundred percent.

Dime's reg. ML looks so much better than this Razorback shit.

I don't know, I thought that Razorback/SG thing looked kinda cool. I like the inlays on it a lot. They just need to take out those EMGs and slap some zebra Duncans in there instead.
