Replacing Binding
I was wondering if its possible to buy new or used binding for the side of the neck of a guitar. And how hard it would be to remove, then install.
Because on my electric i have quite a large fragment missing, and the rest is faded from white to a off cream colour, and is cracked quite a lot. (old guitar)
Ultimately i would like to replace it with black binding, and paint the headstock binding black also.
It would make it look a lot better imo.

From what I know doing bindings are very difficult. My uncle tried to redo the bindings on his old 60's Les Paul and said he would rather shoot himself than attempt it again. And this is a man who has built several guitar by himself.

Ah alright then guys. doesnt sound like a job for me, i tend to rush shit :P I know a guy who knows a luthier, though he makes guitars for himself as a hobby, ill ask and see.
If not, ill just leave it, i dont really want to fuck my first guitar. Especially since I want to keep it.
