... Between The Buried And Me. Their vocalist can do a whole range of things, he can do low growls to high screams, and everywhere in between, and he can do clean singing. Has anyone else heard of these? And if you have, im not sure if it has been discussed, but how do you get that low on a growl? I can just do metallica style singing and screaming, and clean, but not much else...

Erm i dont know, kind of hardcore i suppose you would say, but then they change into other random things at times.

this might be a little controversial but i think phil anselmo can do some pretty cool screaming and lower vocals aswell as great fucking clean stuff

I would say that this person from btbam can get a better range than anselmo, an for some reason whenever i hear anselmo i think of hetfield........

im gonna get really sick of hearing about this band
i already am.
how can he do it? well how does vai do those solos? practice. voice is an instrument that needs practice. check out any number of the threads in here preferable the screaming/growling advice thread

You know what, ive been readin this board, an most people seem to have the last word by saying "just practise" but if you stuck a tuba in front of me and told me to practise, i still wouldnt be able to do it after 10 years, if no one told me how. i have read everything here, i just cant seem to be able to make any use of it. i can get my voice to go a bit lower, but it still just seems too black metalish for what i want.
i play guitar btw, but im doin vocals for another band, coz im doin backup vocals for my main band.

Thats why you research stuff yourself.
Some things you either have or dont, if you have a high or soft voice, i dont think that you are gonna be able to get low growls out, even with practise.
