Halfstack for 500$
hi
i think of buying a halfstack for playing with my band. the boxes i have just suck. i need something loud with pressure.
i thought of a crate gt 1200 top with a behringer BG412H box but i have no clue. 
only got 500$ for the thing

since your in germany, i would suggest getting a 2nd hand Engl. Their not cheap, but not expensive either. I guess for 700E or something more you can get a combo easily.

the powerball definetly is a great amp
i bought one for myself just 3 month ago
it's quite expensive though, i paid 1k € for a used one.
the fireball is generally the same, but with less power and less options to adjust it

But engl amps aren't cheaper in germany. Only americans pay more because the euro is stronger and they have to pay for shipping. But when you live in germany you don't have to deal with all of that. I live 15 min away form Aachen. wich is in germany. And the powerball still costs alot of money.

The cheapest but decent half stack for less than $1000 is the crate shockwave 3500HS I believe it is , it is a monster and for the money it kicks ass. But generally you get what you pay for.Either go for the crate or save up and get a better amp the first time otherwise you will wind up buying 2 or 3 rigs before you finally get the right one.

you should ask the one with the fireball if the tubes are still the stock tubes and how much it was used, if it's ok the fireball will probably go for 600-700€
the 5150 could be a little more expensive, depends on how old it is etc.
i think both of them are great amps, the 5150 got some more power (120w instead of 60(fireball) but the difference isn't that big and 60 would probably be enough, too.
you should try both of them and choose the one you like more :>
