HSS pickup config, PAF PRO in bridge?
Ok, so i've just got a Charvel Model 4, pickup config is HSS. What pickups would be suitable, i know the PAF Pro is used mainly in the neck, but what is it like in the bridge? What pickups are best to put in the single neck and middle spaces, single coil or mini-humbuckers?
Any advice/suggestions welcome

But for bridge an x2n for metal, They are real high output. Kinda shitty for cleans though

I want it to be fairly good for cleans, i had a look and JB/Hot Rails/Hot Rails seems to be used on HSS, anyone tried the hotrails?

a friend of mine uses a hotrail in the bridge (strat)
it's a very loud pickup, don't know if it's useful for cleans..
for heavy sounds its pretty good

I think an X2N with single coils would be noisy as fuck, I don't know why, I just got this feeling.
You can always get an EMG-81/SA/SA or 85/SA/SA combo, or hell buy an 89 and the single coils seperately so you can use the coil tap and get a triple single coil combo.
Being the Immortal fan that I am, I'd suggest a Seymour Duncan Cool Rails and some other SD single coil along with an EMG 81 or a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge if you don't want to deal with mixing actives and passives.
Edit: Hotrails = think of Iron Maiden. Cool Rails + EMG 81: Think of the clean guitar interludes from Immortal.

I wouldnt get hot rails in the last neck pos for clean (or even for solo/sweeping) they are very very hot and arnt very good for cleans IMO. I think the perfect combonation would be JB/Hot rails/Little '59 I replaced my neck hot rail with a little '59, the 59's have much better cleans, are still a hot output, but very warm cleans and sweeps which i love
