Friends of top-notch Black Metal listen up, a new bestial piece of dark and violent music is about to hit your ears. With the release of its (66)6th full-length album “Vermin” on October 17th, 2005 the 1993 founded band is more than ready to top the praise its predecessor “In Defiance Of Existence” legitimately received.
OLD MAN´S CHILD returned to Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden (recording home of In Flames, Arch Enemy and others), with Patrik J. Sten and Fredrik Nordström helping to create a new monster of an album. “Vermin” offers a massively sounding, grim trip into the sinister visions of mastermind Galder. With Danish beat-machine Reno H. Kiilerich, who was drafted by Dimmu Borgir as a live drummer after stints with Panzerchrist, Vile and Exmortem (and who won a drum contest displaying the fastest footwork after exceeding over 800 hits on the double-bass pedals in one minute) and a guest appearance by Dragonlord/Testament guitarist Eric Peterson band founder Galder is in more than just good company and with artwork by Greek artist Set<'H> “Vermin” is also visually a dark and morbid slab of melodic, bombastic yet hateful Black Metal.
