No its all in the workout. There is a difference between lifting to gain strength such as doing 5 sets on bench, and doing long reps.
I actually should have further clarified that statement. Those who go to the gym and do heavy 5 sets (ONLY) on like bench and squats and thats it, do not get healthier. They get stronger and heavier.

This is why I don't post on muscle boards, because arguing about this kind of stuff is irritating in the extreme. Nowhere is the e-balls phenomenon worse than when teenagers get on the internet to talk about 'GET'N JACKD'.
I'm not in the habit of justfying my opinions, or my education, over the internet to strangers. You'll probably have noticed by now - usually I just verbal people extensively and let it go.
That being said - I'll be as brief as I can dealing with this crap. Don't tell your friend, because I don't want to read his Down's Syndrome responses. Or if you do tell him, don't track his badly spelt dreck back in here.
Believe me, or don't, or (and by far the best of all) do your own research and make up your own mind. The most important thing is that you get training.

The vast majority of training I do doesn't result in muscle pain, because it's very heavy and very low rep. Somehow, I grow. I get stronger. So do the fighters and powerlifters I train with. Pain and gain can be related. But often they have very little to do with each other. There are a number of factors at work here, and the 'pain = broken muscle = stronger muscle when fixed' equation is ridiculously simplistic and mostly wrong.

Because there's only so many hours in the day I can spend being a helpful guy on the internet and not working, you cloth-headed pap smear. But seeing as you mentioned it...
www.elitefts.com - A fantastic resource. Hundreds of great articles on powerlifting, strongman and training in general. Also, a Q&A section with very good strength athletes and trainers.
www.dragondoor.com - Heavy focus on kettlebell training and martial arts, the occasional waft of hippy, but also a very extensive article section. I'm a fan.
www.crossfit.com - Not a bad idea if you want to be super-fit. The first site I'd recommend for people looking to join the military. They have a very rabid fanbase, which they mostly deserve. I use their Workout of the Day as a change-up sometimes.
www.t-nation.com - A site I've been reading since 1998. They have a truly massive archive of great articles. Really, truly huge.
www.dieselcrew.com - HARD. CORE. These guys train like very few people can. They're lunatics. Watch some of their videos. Also has a good archive on grip and strongman training. These guys have influenced my training more than anyone else in recent years.
www.fatbastardbarbellco.com - My favourite gear site. Pictures, training equipment, other stuff too.
www.ironmind.com - My other favourite gear site. They sell the best strength magazine in existence, Milo. Also, their selection of books is top notch. And I like their news section, because it's focused around strongman and O-lifting.
Notice that none of these sites are bodybuilding specific websites. They're mostly about strength sports. I don't like bodybuilding very much. To be quite honest, I haven't read bodybuilding.com for a few years. It's been around for ever. It might have gotten better.

Oh man, I hear this and I FEEL YOUR PAIN. 4,000 is about a minimum for me. I got five tricks that make it manageable on an academic salary:
1) Wholesale meat. I have a big 300 litre deep freezer and I buy meat for less than half what it costs in a supermarket. Can freeze half a damn cow in one hit.
2) Wholesale protein. I buy it unflavoured directly from the manufacturer for, I shit you not, ABOUT THIRTY PERCENT of the typical GNC price for a good brand. This is probably where I save the most money - last time I bought protein, two kilos of pure WPI and four kilos of pure WPC cost me $110. Do the maths. If you've been paying shelf price, you'll puke.
3) Soup. No shit. Soup is the undisputed king of carbohydrates. Cheap, tasty, and best of all, EASY.
4) Oatmeal. No secrets there. Oatmeal IS breakfast, and breakfast IS oatmeal. Cheap as shit. Awesome.
5) Mayonnaise. Make it yourself. Not easy to get right, but my favourite source of fat without a doubt. I have a secret ultra-tasty mayonnaise recipe which has exactly two day's worth of fat intake in it, perfectly balanced between saturated, mono and poly unsaturated fats, tonnes of omega 3, 6 & 9's and a few other goodies. Everything in the fitness field has already been done, but this one I'm absolutely CERTAIN I invented myself. You can have the recipe if I ever get my book published.

So how much do you eat in a day? I couldn't fucking imagine having to do all that just to get enough energy and nutrition in my system. Hence i guess why being light framed is good for me.

Prepare to feel ill. A typical day:
Breakfast: 125g of oatmeal, with brown sugar and milk, fruit if I've got it. Protein shake, generally skim milk and WPI.
Next meal: Bowl of soup you could drown a baby in, with meat. I fucking love soup. If I feel light, I eat bread too.
Lunch: Sandwiches, multiple. Bread: dark rye or pumpernickel. Filling: Tonnes of dead shit, salad, roasted vegetables, garlic, ginger, salsa, chilli, plenty of muscle mayonnaise.
Next meal: Protein shake, usually made with whole milk and WPC.
Dinner: Meat and vegetables. I have a plate that used to be a serving platter which I make my dinner on. Generally 400-700g of meat (depending on hunger) and something like a whole bunch of bok choy, a whole capsicum and a quarter of a cabbage. Lots of muscle mayonnaise. I don't fuck around at dinner. I can eat 2000+ clean calories in one sitting. It's like watching a massacre with a fork.
Before bed: 5 grams fish oil, caesin protein shake, glucosamine, creatine.
All day: Strong coffee with skim milk (extra calories), water (about 2-3L), beer (with food, not by itself and not late at night).
After a workout: 80 grams of my own home brew recovery mix (dextrose, maltodextrin, lime juice, citric acid and pine-lime flavouring), 60 grams of plain WPI. An hour or two after that, HUGE FUCKING PILES OF FOOD. Literally anything I can get my hands on. Trees. Animals. Kids. A workout partner who didn't last through the overhead squats.
While we're at it, my eating records.
Biggest steak ever eaten: 1.6 kgs
Most ribs ever eaten: 4 full racks
Most calories eaten in a day: 8000+
Most King Prawns eaten at a buffet: 60 - five dozen.
Number of women who have cited my diet amongst the reasons for leaving me: 2
Number of times that has bothered me: 0

fbs, do you think you should specify about the oatmeal not being the flavored stuff? I'm sure you don't mean that stuff although it might be okay in a pinch. Do you have a preference as to what cut? I vary mine.
powers'- When I said to eat the fruit instead of drinking the juice I didn't mean canned fruit, but the fresh stuff. No biggie.

Good point, young crone. My oatmeal is the Scots stuff, whole motherfucking oats. Not flavoured, not out of a little packet, not with Raspberry Flavoured Titsobollocks in it. The kind of stuff they feed horses.
From memory, Yanks call this kind of oat 'steel cut'.

Damn right. I eat burgers, hot dogs, peanut butter 'n' jelly, mac 'n' cheese, rice, spaghetti, and baked potatoes with lots of cheese and ketchup.
and I drink water, skim milk, and Bacardi 151 or whiskey.
Oh wait.....that's eating like a normal person

Hey, don't knock it. The horsefeed I used to get for mine had corn, oats, molasses, and other stuff I can't remember. It was good, but the dry corn was a little crunchy.
Steel cut is good stuff.

Fortunately, I like what I eat. I've managed to tailor the process to where I everything I eat tastes good. It's just wholesome... and there's a trucking fuckload of it.
(I eat crap too. But I eat crap AFTER I'm done eating my awesome food. Crap is something you add to a diet for fun, and not replace meals with.)

In exactly 7 days I am going to the best place in the fucking world. It's in Nottingham called Centre Parcs. It's some kind of sporty health spa smack bang in the centre of Sherwood Forest. Five days of just swimming, cycling, badminton and sports in general or you can just kick back in the jacuzzi.
No cars are allowed everyone has a cycle for the week. The nightlife should be good too. I'm rather exited.

Think about what it takes to get a car to run and then realize the human body is much more complicated to run and can make choices on top of it all. You putting crappy ingredients in either and it's not going to run at peak levels even if all the parts are there.

Speaking of this, I hurt my left arm doing some simple, high repetition, low weight curls about 10 days ago. I finally went to the hospital yesterday and was surprised, delighted, and somewhat confused to find that it's just a muscle strain. It probably would have been gone by now if I hadn't insisted on working out every way I physically could without crying and still doing all the heavy lifting where I work. I've gone a mere two full days without lifting anything heavy on my left arm (still doing single arm curls with the righty) and it's already feeling better. To tie in with your point, I'm pretty sure I didn't reach any gain on that set 10 days ago, despite the level of pain involved.

If that's the best excuse they could find, they weren't looking hard enough, which means they were lazy and you're better off without them. Not as well as they are without you, but well enough.

www.t-nation.com - A site I've been reading since 1998.
I'll come back to the rest of your post later when I have a moment.
|
Awesome! Thanks for all the info dude! Checking out the links now. The dieselcrew is indeed rather insane.

I'm irritated. I went to the place where I used to get my bags of whey powder and they aren't carrying it anymore. summanabich Maybe I can find out where they got it and order it myself.
I started back on my walking and exercise program yesterday. Got a kick in the ass toward motivation from here and a couple peers.

Two thumbs up for this.
|
Those are good suggestions. I'm gonna have to look into the wholesale protein and meat, because this buying a pound of beef or chicken here or there is for the fuckin birds. Is your book completed?

Hey FBS, I'm looking to get started in kettlebell training. Reading up on the subject, a 16kg kettlbell is supposedly ideal for the kettlebell beginner. I don't have a background in any strength training, so do you think I should start out lower?
Edit: Hmmm....
Quote:
Kettlebells are definitely not suitable for the beginner at exercise, or for those who are returning to exercise after a protracted period of inactivity. This is due to the high risk to the wrists, elbows, shoulders and lower back inherent in their use, plus the complexity involved in many of the exercises.

What's your take FBS?

No, it's very much not. In fact, it's in a couple of hundred of badly-spelt pieces full of swearwords and libelous opinions. Give me a year or so.

16kg is fine. I learnt on a 20kg.
That guy has a moderately rational and very negative perspective. He's the Downing Street Memo of kettlebells and fixing the policy around the decision. He's got a shopping list of stuff there, like "Kettlebells aren't really Russian" (who gives a shit?) and "Spetznaz didn't use them" (newsflash: a fitness method uses marketing hype!) and the final cloying fart:
Quote:
I don’t know about you, but a pair of solid balls just doesn’t “do it” for me. What is so aesthetically pleasing about a pair of spherical pieces of iron? Anyone? Please?
|
What a trenchant, pithy, relevant criticism. You're not scraping the bottom of the barrel, are you? Dork.
Let's go a few examples of where he's wrong and then I'll add my perspective.
Quote:
Kettlebells , because of their compact size, are very versatile and lend themselves to all sorts of exercises. This true-but it is also true of dumbbells and strands. Any exercise shown using a kettlebell can be done using a dumbbell. Sure, you can attach rubber bands to a kettlebell and use it in different ways, but exactly the same things can be done with a dumbbell.
|
No, no, NO. Kettlebells have two very serious advantages over dumbbells, in that they are nigh-indestructible one-piece units with no moving parts and their handle is above the profile of the implement. Things I use my kettlebells for that I would never, ever use a dumbbell for:
Overhead throws: where the bell is thrown behind you over your head. Anything with moving parts breaks. Don't tell me dumbbells could handle it, I broke a fucking beer keg doing throwing exercises.
Juggling: a huge manner of throws from hand to hand. I love these and you can't do them with a dumbbell, they're impossible to catch and dangerous if they fall apart. Try doing a left-to-right double front flip with a dumbbell and I'll show you something that's REALLY dangerous for the wrist.
'Long sets': spinlock dumbbells are notoriously unreliable, and generally mine have enough plates on them that the collars are not done up a long way. For exercises that take longer than 5 minutes (like a good long set of between the legs passes or high rep snatches) spinlock collars become dangerous and the possibility of the dumbbell getting loose and clunky, or just falling apart and fucking killing you is very real.
Sideways, suspended or lateral movements: any time you hold a dumbbell with the end pointing straight down, you are asking for trouble because the weight is resting on the collar. Kettlebells don't have a 'weak' orientation. Try doing goblet squats, side passes, rope swings, high rep normal swings, crucifix holds, etc for a few years and at some point in time a dumbbell will show you exactly why a one-piece item is a great idea.
Any 1RM exercise: If you drop a dumbbell, it often explodes into a mess of plates and collars and shit. Not if you're a faggot doing 3 sets of 15 1-arm reverse emo curls, but if you're trying to continental a fucking 110lb behemoth without dying, occasionally you will have to drop it. I am perfectly comfortable going for an all-out max with a kettlebell, because it's the ground you need to worry about if you drop it.
Quote:
Using heavy iron will not make you “body aware” in this sense, but rather “iron aware”. You will be aware of how heavy the iron is, where it is , how far away from you it is and you will be concentrating on the iron, not yourself. This will make you good at moving heavy iron, but not at martial arts. Arguing otherwise is like saying that practicing golf will make you a good swimmer. This is not to say that resistance training in some form is not good for martial arts. However, there is no substitute for moving your body on the mat.
|
This isn't much of an argument, numbnuts. So your point is the best way to become a good martial artist is doing it, therefore kettlebells are bad. No-one has ever or will ever claim resistance training is a substitute for skill training.
I'd get some douchey quote about hurting your wrists too, but I'm losing interest with this game now. I know I'm an n of 1, but my heaviest kettlebell is 48kgs and I have the wrist diameter of a 10 year old girl, and my grand total of wrist injuries so far using them is none.
Why? Because kettlebells demand respect, and they are absolutely certain to snap your wrist like a twig if you fuck around with them. Almost everything you do with them moves the weight in reference to your hand position as well as through space. If you don't learn to co-ordinate the exercises properly, they'll rape you.
THAT IS NOT AN INHERENTLY BAD THING. But if you're a poorly coordinated, weak cunt, you need to be damned careful.
I like kettlebells very much. They are no substitute for heavy weights, but they don't have to be because the majority of the time they're used for different things. I think a 16kg bell would be an excellent investment, but for fuck's sake get a DVD on how to use it. And if possible go to a training course as well.

Is this from your fitness book? "Candywrappers do NOT count, you nutcase. Unless there's 1600 of them. But then your goddamn glutes would be inter-galaxially visible."
I've been told they are.
fbs, you're doing 2 books! Put down the Dr.C book and pick up the fitness book!
sheesh! Darn kids can't keep anything straight.

Three blocks later I come across a little girl on her way home from school. "Hey kid," I say. "Did you know that if you grow up gay, you mommy and daddy won't have to die?" She looks at me for a minute, and I smile and stagger a little bit. "The instant you let a boy put his cock in you," I say, "Your mommy's name gets written down on God's list of people who have to die. Your daddy gets written down on the devil's list." She starts to run away and I shout after her "You're going to murder your parents you little straight slut!"
I wish I had written that.

Dr. C is better than Dr. Dre. Do that first. At least that way, all your libelous opinions will be taken in stride, instead of as fact. As much as I liked Dr. C, he was never as inherently supreme as that Baron Von Rüthless gentletyrant.

That's fucking crap. You don't need a pad to squat. Even with my shitty emaciated back, it's never hurt me.
Pads, if anything, are dangerous. Anything that will make the bar slip is dangerous. Before big squats, I chalk the bar, my back and my shirt on both sides until it feels welded to me.
The blue pad thing is called a Stingray (I think). They're pointless.

I really need to work my wrists and shoulders flexibility. Whenever I do cleans, or some sort of overhead press, I am unable rack the bar on my shoulders, so it just ends up resting in my hands instead, which isn't good.

Probably has more to do with flexibility than the fact that their ham-encrusted joints won't close properly due to blubber.
A lot of powerlifters like to have a gut - they actually reckon it helps you bounce out of the bottom position when you're going for a huge squat in powerlifting gear.

Yeah thats right. Stingray. Yeah i never liked them because it always felt like the bar was slipping off my back. Just putting it in the grooves of my shoulders was good enough.
I was "decient" at squatting before. Like 155 pounds squatting i think i got up to like 270 or 280.

As long as you know the bar isn't going to kill you (whether it's because you aren't sure of slippage or what), the sky's the limit, sortof. You improved big time. That's a good amount more than I can do, although I'm a skinny sonofabitch and that may never change.

I don't work out anymore. I got a job that requires throwing around 120 lbs bags of tea material all day and lifting up 140-160lbs bins up to an assembly line...Then when the tea thats in the bin gets jacked up, ya gotta handle 400-1,000lbs by yourself to get it off the line. By the time I get off work I feel like jello and cant stop thinking about beer (to numb the pain) and weed (to help the beer numb the pain).

About a year and a half. It'll pump some muscle into your arms for sure but its stressful going 8 hours...then you gotta get up at 6am and go another 8 hours...then again until fucking friday! AHHH..theres a guy who does the same job on a different shift and he actually has the stamina to work out afterwards. I shit you not...he's built like The Rock but he's like 5 foot even.

I'm fairly skinny myself at 6 foot tall 165 pounds ha. Not nearly as skinny as some of my friends. 6' 3'' and 140-145 pounds. its disqusting to look at them.
But yeah that was back in the day i could probably do 225 now, then i wouldn't be able to walk for a week haha.

Hooray. For the first time in a long time, comfortably over 200lbs consistently. Celebration food: one of everything.
Friday's workout:
High-bar good mornings: 8 sets of 5, 100kgs.
BB side bends: 4 sets of 5, 45kgs / hand.
Back ext.: 2 sets of 20
It's Monday, and my lower/mid back is still killing me.

I might as well start posting in here since i'm officially ballz out fitness 3 times a week.
We basically had to do various pushups for over an hour and a half with only about a 5 minute breather break towards the end of the "sets."
Basically we had a deck of cards. Everybody was either a 1 or 2. One of the leaders flips over a card and depending on the number is what kind of pushups you do and how many of them. For example a 4 would be 4 vertical pushups. (with someone holding you up) Or 9 would be 9 diamond pushups. Then when one group is going the other is resting till one group is done.
We did all 52 cards like this.Needless to say i think we did over 200 pushups. For my group it was mostly diamond or vertical pushups.... needless to say that was wednesday at 6am its now sunday at 11 pm and i'm STILL very sore.
Got a 4 mile group run tomorrow. yay for it being 18 degrees...

Still haven't got a gym membership..I really want a partner to go with. STEVEFROST won't commit to it.

Oh, he's probably just getting his "manly man" body. He's about the right age for it.
I really saw that in some of the boys that used to come over. The shoulders are broader and some grew a lot taller. Facial shapes change a bit. All part of aging. Just like my greying hair.

I had that issue when I worked as a laborer for a bridge painting company. We worked 7 days, 96 hrs. per week. I never had time to workout or even have a beer. Some of the guys I worked with would work our 13-14 hr. day, and then go drink at the bar until 2AM, just to have to be back in at 7AM. Not me. It was go home, scrub the fucking dirt off, eat a bigass fast food meal (too tired to cook), and sleep.

Deadlifted 120 kg for 5 today, felt fucking great. Not really an impressive weight, but a year agohalf of that with decent form would have been a problem.

Warning..>ASS.
sorry...I'm just not going to take a pic of my legs while my dad is home. haha.
I have thunder thighs and pretty big calves, it's not from working them out either..because when I did workout, I didn't really have to workout my legs..and I didn't like not being able to walk properly for four days when I did work them out.
I could post the other picture of girl's panties pulled up in my ass crack, but I thought this one was most tasteful.

Leg workouts fucking hurt, and they are my least favorite thing to work on. Calves are fun though.

Wait til they grow up and you can tip them.
fbs, was that a specific muscle that you messed up awhile ago in your back? I'm wondering if it's the same one that my hubby messed up last week and then really did it bad slipping in the parking lot at work. He didn't fall, but he caught his balance and twisted a little. That night when he wasn't getting bad spasms he was snoring. I didn't get much sleep. Doc put him on an anti inflammatory, had him get an xray prior to his appointment, and then a muscle relaxer and no work the rest of the week. He was in bad shape. It only bugs him when he turns. Up and down is fine. Doc wrote chest wall strain, but I don't remember the muscle he said.

I know you're big into squats. Do you ever do any non-weight leg training? Speed walking, power walking? Long-distance walking? Jogging? Running?

Went to the gym for the first time in a while yesterday.
Incline bench
regular bench
dips
curls
reverse curls
dumbell shrugs
Did 3 sets of 10 reps for each thing and i'm fairly sore today.

I didn´t wear a belt so it did hurt for days... I gonna go for 210-220kg, 5 reps next cause now I got a steady belt. I don´t wanna end up hurting myself. 200 kg is alright, I can handle that without a belt but I´m not sure I can do 220 kg without it. I´ve done 1 rep on 210 kg with belt and that was kind easy so I should be able to do more. We´ll see next friday...

Thanx!
I´m fairly new to this so I´m improving. The goal is 300 kg by the end of the year. I think I´ll do that if I don´t hurt myself. I should be able to do 220 kg now with just the belt. I don´t use any equipment, like Raw powerlifting, just the belt.

Anyway, they're some good lifts.
Your deadlift form is very European - you drop your shoulders, grab the bar, and push your hips through in one movement. If you're still relatively new to deadlifting I'd consider doing stop-and-go reps instead of keeping the bar in motion. I've always found that a good way to get extra-comfortable with the form.

Usually to squat I don't train the squat that hard. Normal leg lifts for me are front squats and pistols (quad dom.) & good mornings and rack lockouts (ham dom.) - and I really like to deadlift.
Also, I walk everywhere, all day. I do farmer's walks. Jogging is pointless. Sprinting intervals are good, but I generally save them for weight loss periods.

I´m from Sweden and my friend was instructed by our best powerlifter we´ve got at the moment in -125 kg, David Holmberg. For now I´ll just try to lift as much as possible, later on I´ll check the details. My form is pretty good and I´m improving kinda fast, especially in deadlift.

A "european" deadlift is euphemism for "correct". Keep grinding, and you'll look even more like Marc Bartley than you already do. Beard of doom!
Hey Problematic, send this to your retard friend:
SUMMARY:
• Arginine blood flow stimulators ("nitric-oxide" or "NO2" supplements) have been shown to increase vasodilation, but only in unfed people receiving enormous doses through an IV.
• Oral arginine supplementation doesn't affect blood flow.
• A dose as low as 10 grams has been associated with gastric upset when consumed orally. This dose has no significant effect on glycogen storage, even if it didn't cause diarrhea.
• Time release arginine is supposed to lead to a "perpetual pump" effect. New studies have shown this not to be the case.
• NO2 was shown to have no effect compared to a placebo on body composition or muscle strength.
• It's not possible for us to consume high enough levels of arginine to effectively increase nitric oxide levels.
• Copycat NO2 products are no better than the original supplement. In fact, those that contain glycocyamine should be avoided because of potential health concerns.
• If you think these products work for you, then you'd better look into the placebo effect.
• Arginine might temporarily elevate growth hormone levels, but only if you're able to take unrealistic doses. There's little evidence to support that this short term increase in GH would do anything for your physique anyway.
• In one study, arginine aspartate was shown to increase prolactin by an average of 75%. Prolactin is associated with decreased Testosterone levels.
• Five grams of arginine consumed during resistance exercise was shown to decrease normal exercise-induced GH output.
• The positive benefits of oral arginine supplementation can only be achieved through doses higher than the human body can handle. And most (but not all) of this effect is mediated by insulin. So if you want to have blood flow increases equivalent to a huge IV arginine infusion, just manipulate insulin through other means (which will be discussed in the next article.)
Most good articles about NO2 supplements have the word 'scam' in the title.

For some reason I thought Ove Lehto was your best powelifter.
And I'd think you'd be able to hit alittle more than 220 when you've got 200 for 5, 230 is my guess.
Good luck dude, I think there's a fair chance you'll hit 300 within the year. I'd be happy if I could do even 200 for a max this year
Edit: Just realised Lehto is probably in the 125+, so never mind.

Maybe I can do 230 kg with my belt on a good day, I think so. The belt gives me atleast 10 kg.
Owe Lehto is from Åland, so he competes for Finland. But he´s REALLY good! And yes, he´s in the +125 kg.
Sweden got the WR (IPF) in bench press, Fredrik Svensson, 345.5 kg:

Yeah man, I saw that vid of Fredrik, fucking crazy stuff! It does look abit like his ass did come off the bench, although it's kinda hard to tell. The lift was approved anyway, and I can't think of anyone else in the IPF that could potentially bench that much any time soon.

I don´t care for the WPC/WPO cause they all on the roids.

Well, as far as I've heard there are drugs around that won't show up on drug tests, so there may be some drugged powerlifters even in IPF, but not nearly on a scale as with WPO/WPC. I still respect the WPC/WPO lifters though, even if they don't have drug test or strict rules on shirts/suits. They're still hard working cunts who are damn strong. But yeah, I see your point.

That shit was nuts. I had no idea how big 345kg is... For those on the pound system thats like 760 fucking pounds!!! by fucking god haha. My largest bench max after 2 semester of weight training was 205 pounds! I was i think 160 pounds at the time.

Roids are a big problem in all kinda weightlifting sports, powerlifting, Strong Man and Olympic Weightliffing. No wonder why Bulgaria, Latvia, Russia, Ukrain and so on always got good lifters. Sweden, Finland and Norway got some great lifters that are clean from roids. Owe Lehto, Magnus Samuelssson, Kenneth "Kenta" Sandvik, David Holmberg (my friend´s trainer) and Fredrik Svensson. I know that Fredrik, Owe and Kenneth has been tested regular since way back so they have no periods were they could have done roids. Usually people just stop in time for the competitions that´s why they are "clean" even though that´s not really the case.

Yea, that shit is really nuts. I´m glad if I can do 210 kg one day with the suit on. That´s my goal for now. 345.5 is insane...

Maybe your metabolism stayed kicked up enough from your routine that it was burning it? Maybe you should go back for a couple months and then see what happens. Good excuse for another vacation.
Oh btw, You did hear about the peanutbutter recalls due to salmonella didn't you? It was put on the shelves last August. Peter Pan and the Value whatever from Walmart.
