Whoo. When my friend and I walked at the cemetery she was getting winded halfway around the first lap so we stopped a minute to catch her breath. I kept moving my legs so I kept the energy going. Then we walked the rest of the way and one more round. She's had pneumonia 7 times she said and she's still getting over bronchitis. The doc told her she has scar tissue in her airways and lungs so it makes it hard to breathe sometimes. I had no problem. She asked me if I wanted to go again myself and I told her no, but I think next time I will just so I can get a little speed going and pump. I feel like I'm marching when we walk because she takes smaller steps. It sure was nice to walk outside for a change, too.

You guys with allergy or breathing problems, take my word for it and if you can get checked for those or asthma do so. It makes day and night difference. It took me 45 years to breathe.

Oh yeah! I just read on RealAge today that orange, yellow, and red vegies are high in things good for the lungs. Granny Smith apples are, too.

If you like cold chicken you could pound the crap out of a boneless, skinless breast, cook it and freeze it. Then wrap it seperately in a baggie and wrap that in a paper towel. It would be thawed by your lunchtime and you could put it on bread or eat it plain. I just baked about 10 pounds of chicken and portioned it in the freezer. You could even do diced chicken in lettuce that way.

yes i meant dance dance revolution. I have it on ps2 and it combines my favorite activities. (dance dance dance and cardio and bad techno gahaha makes me giggle)

when you put it on workout mode you enter in your weight and age and how many calories you want to burn or how long you want to go. after each song, it tells you your progress. it also lists the equivalent of the exercise you just did in jogging miles, jump rope times, and swimming miles.

it also increases your coordination, balance, rythymn, and reflexes.

thats why. its a good workout.

and plus with 9 years of tap, jazz, ballet, salsa, swing , and bellydancing, i dont mind dancing for two hours every day.

I'm not that co-ordinated and never really got into dancing. I used to kinda "ballet" around the kitchen at work on occasion, but that was more like a co-ordinated obstacle course. I LOVE watching the ball room dance comps on tv when they're on. The costumes are terrific.

I weighed myself at 155 lbs today. That's a 10 pound gain from when I started lifting 2 weeks ago. I'm all fired up about it.

My protien shakes consist of 4 scoops of Sci-Fit's Extreme mass gainer with whole milk, a teaspoon of peanut butter, sugar, and some ice cubes to make it cold. I'm going to start adding eggs i think. 1 serving of the Gainer is 600 calories and 50g of whey protein. It actually tastes good too, it's chocolate ice cream flavor.

When i was in high school i did all the Chreography for Guys and Dolls and i was lead dancer in the salsa secene so i made sure i put lots of time into that one. But the guy i was dancing with had 11 years of ballet and combined that with my 7, along with my other dance training, we choreographed this wicked salsa and at one time during rehearsal when he was upposed to pick me up and spin me around and dip me reeeeeeaaally low, he lost his grip and ended up tossing me halfway across the floor. i slid and proceeded to attack him.

Truth--make sure you use pasteurized eggs, egg substitute (egg beaters or something similar), or egg white powder so you don't get sick from it. The egg white powder I get in the cake baking section of the grocery store and the egg beater type stuff is where the eggs are or in the frozen section. They make various sizes. I'm cubing mine and freezing what's not in the 2 egg portion packs.

My friend and I walked 3200 about at the cemetery and found a cool headstone with Mayflower geneology on it that I had to check out, but I won't go into that here. But anyways, when I got home I decided to push a bit more. I got the maul and did some upper body stuff and some lunges. I dont' know what all the stuff is called, but I can feel it. IT FEELS SOOOOO GOOOD!!!! And I had decided to do it outside by my Blazer which was sort of a good idea. I realised I could check my form in the mirrored reflection and it made me keep my head up where it should be, too. When I did that for about 15 minutes I got the dog out and took her for a walk. I've got 3600 steps on my pedo now. I mixed up some leftover coffee,1 Tbs. molasses (because i wanted to use it up), and scant 1/4 cup egg beaters and I'm drinking that now. I sat down at the pc and my back popped about 6 times.

That was fun as heck.

Truth-- Well, people have eaten them and not gotten sick, but no use taking that change. Food poisoning is horrible. I've had it a couple times. You can get in the shell type eggs that are pasteurized, but they're more expensive. The liquid ones are great though because it's already done to those and there's no cholesterol in them either. That might not be a worry to young folks right now, but it is when you get older. Preventive medicine so to speak. Use regular one occasionally for scramble since they do have some good stuff in them, but watch your intake.

i have, make sure they have equal time with the ground technique as well as the standing technique.alot of schools focus more on "newaza" standing technique and throws because of the sport nature to the art. basically a good school should make you formitable with any BJJ student. the "randori" ground technique itself is basic BJJ from what i heard.

most submissions in MMA come from judo and the various archiac forms of japanese ju-jitsu. i would say that the brazillian styles are more effective of implementing them in a real world or mma situation.but judo is nontheless a good intro to MMA. its the foundation of BJJ, and unlike the aikido lessons i took that included judo, you will be sparring with your classmates full contact. this is very important.

What supplements do you guys take? Right now I'm taking Sci-Fit's Kre-Alkalyn, Amino Acids, and those weight gainer shakes. Any other recommendations or anything?

Short answer: fix your shitty diet, exercise more.

Long answer: eat six or seven small meals a day, concentrate your foods around lean meats, vegetables, fruits & nuts, perform high-intensity medium term exercise (e.g. sprint cycling, running intervals or stairs, sprint-run drills), lift weights, drink a hell of a lot of water, never combine fats and carbohydrates in the same meal, don't eat any processed bleached flour, sugar or trans fats, eat protein all the time, drink whisky instead of beer.

i liked aikido and enjoyed studying it, the guy i learned from studied judo in japan around WW2 and later studied aikido. i was being taught both without the sparring. i deffinately would take more lessons in some from of grappling art if i could afford it. but nowdays i guess ill settle on being more of a armchair/keyboard warrior than anything. im more into music i guess, would rather buy drum gear than lessons on how to get folded into pretzel.

I started learning a style based around Ju-jitsu and Karate a few years back, most enjoyable, we did a lot of grappling techniques and floor-work, the guy I learned from went all around Korea and Japan learning from the guys over there, he merged all the stuff he'd learned into his own style "Takedo". My Dad is doing Aikido in Japan at the moment, when I saw him at crimbo he nearly broke my damn arm with no effort, my respect grows everyday for Martial Arts!

in the effort to make myself look like i spent the night in an all boy's school i upped my leg machines by like 20

on leg press i did 370. my legs can handle more, the problem is that it hits my lower back harder than it does most people because my back doesnt lie straight on the board. i've adjusted the machine to suit that as best i can and will keep going ahead. did 150 on leg extensions and 115 on pullbacks

Killer exercise - the Basque Circle.

Clean a keg to shoulder height, pass it onto one shoulder, shift the weight back into a squat position, continue to move it to the other shoulder, then continue around to the front again.

Essentially, you are throwing a beer keg around your head. Why? I don't know. But it beats the shit out of fucking bicep wearing-a-dress curls.

6 flights of stairs and over 1000s of feet of industrial mill space, the load out back was only 2 members,myself and one of the guitarist. all this is factored into the playing of a 30-45 minute set

cant wait till we tour. those SVT cabinets make you want to die. i cant imagine doing this kind of loading for 20-30 straight shows imbetween mind numbing sleep depervation 10-15 hour drives. this is by far the heaviest amount of gear for a band ive been in
