It's a pretty readily available fish, and you can get it in the same types of packages, and it has about an equal protein content...

yeah in fact there is some downstairs that i will eat later this week

im hoping to get some turkey tomorrow for lunch or something


in other health related news i stopped drinking coffee in the am yesterday. by the time i get to it the coffee is already cold and i dont even really enjoy it. sadly my body still does :P i have a terrible headache now but i will deal with it

im not done drinking coffee but i dont want to have my body craving it like it obviously does

Wean yourself off it and you won't have the headache problem. Either add more water to it or get some low power and then go off that. It takes only a few days that way. But watch other stuff like OTC meds and foods that might have it. Although caffeine will help pain relievers work faster. That's why it's in some of them.

I've now gotten to 75 pushups without stopping, shredding 16ths at 157bpm, and sweeping triplets 180 bpm.

I've read that the afternoon slump is caused by a decrease in body temperature so maybe it was doubly effected because of your caffeine withdrawl. Experiment if it happens again and take a regular tylenol and see if that remedies it. A lady I worked with used to prevent her migraines by having a single cup of coffee at their onset so maybe a little caffeine would help you get past that time. Or maybe your body just wants a power nap.

my sleepings all messed up lately anyways so its probably just a big cominbation of things that will go away. plus vaca is coming up

i need some help with what to eat.
i weigh 155 am 6ft and take creatine

i dont really eat certain things each day because i dont know nothing about eating right.
could someone suggest good eating patterns and a good ab and chest workout
i have 2 dumbells and a barbell bench than inclines and declines, im lifting about 115 on the barbell but i can deffinately do some more than that, Thanks

I did some major chest and bicep work last night. I did pyramid sets going down on the curls--shit it was great.....my biceps were about to pop. Then I did a ton of dips with sets of ten.

But before that, as usual, I did my squats and deadlifts. My squat is up to 410lbs, but my deadlift has gone down to 230lbs max!. Probably cause I've been doing a lot more stiff-legged deadlifts with long sets of 180lbs......

Dairy shit can be good for protein. I use milk when cooking and on cereal quite frequently, and I probably eat about 5 lbs. of cottage cheese per week. I love that shit.

I do three sets of rows with 220, for 10, 12 and 15-18, then the last set with 180 till failure (usually about 20 reps) But yeah do as much back as you can sam!!

I always keep my wrists straight during curls. And also, I do curls with 95, and reverse grip with 65-75, so expect to drop quite a bit while doing them, because they are just harder.

Dairy is definately good... especially if you are making shakes daily (as I do)... but it isn't enough.

Wow, maybe something was too heavy? Or maybe when you bent to pick something up someone snuck up on you?
My legs still feel like macaroni, but glutton for punishment me, took the dog for a walk.

I've got a problem with my left lower leg though. I don't think Schamberg's Disease cuz my husband has that, but I've got a patch that gets reddish like it's probably broken blood vessels and after all the walking and climbing I did yesterday it's black and blue, too. It comes and goes. Could it be caused from bad shoes or would some grapeseed extract help that?

My glutes are gravy today as are my ankles are the rest of my legs here and there. Squats and yoga lunges conplete with elbows on the floor contortions. Yes, I did it yesterday. I pushed just beyond my limits and when I started to lose form from my legs shaking uncontrollably I thought it was time to stop before I injured myself.
Then I hung 3 sets of mini blinds for mom and was climbing up and down a chair doing that along with the drill work.
The dog and I went for a walk, too.

I've still got a bit of yardwork, a coldframe to build,and a ceiling to replaster, but it's gonna rain so screw all that. Today is a recovery day.

Some of those Limit Strength Exercises sound like what I did yesterday morning only without the weights involved. I think my butt's about 2 inches higher, but I'm able to bend 2 " less.
But like Tranny said about his arms, it feels good. I can hardly move at first, but it does feel good.

We have emergency air connections in the middle of reactor instrumentation that are perfect for doing pullups on

All you have to do is make sure the wrong people don't see you doing it. I can only knock out six pullups at a time, and usually go for a grand total of about 40 or 50, so roughly 7-8 sets, but I'd say that's pretty good considering how heavy I am.

(Calories in brackets)

11.30am (415.8) 3 eggs, 4 eye bacon rashers (lean), 250g spinach
2pm (160.0) protein shake
7:30pm (324.5) babaganoush, pistachio nuts
8:30pm (474.0) satay chicken, 1/4 of a steamed cabbage, peas, beans
10pm (78.6) sundried tomato cheese
10.30pm (155.3) handful of walnuts
2.30am (145.0) protein shake, fish oil caps

Daily total, more than 200g protein, only 1800 calories. Meat, eggs, nuts, vegetables, protein powder.

A normal day would look more like this:

10am - Oatmeal, protein powder, fruit, coffee
1pm - Brown pasta or rice, appropriate sauce (usually tomato-based, w. vegetables), meat
3pm - Protein shake
6pm - Lean hamburger on wholemeal bun
8pm - 500g meat, whole steamer full of vegetables w. olive oil (lots) or avocado
10pm - Nuts, cheese, babaganoush
Before bed - Protein, fish oil caps, vitamins, supplements

Tranny, the garlic in the meatballs probably caused you to bloat. That's very common. And you're probably shrinking your stomach eating that little.

Well, mom's got me working out again today. I thought I'd stay home and plaster, but I'm going to burn and plant at her house. More walking. My glutes are getting beautifuller and beautifuller.

I took half a nitric o pill after my oatmeal and OJ just cuz I'm dragging today from the tylenol pm I took last night at 8. Everything hits me hard.

Yeah to gain a lot of mass, one needs to eat a shitload. I've never eaten as much in my life as I have been in the last 3 months.

Average day:

7:00 - 6-10 scrambled egg whites, one whey shake
8:00 - Raisin bagel
11:30 - Two large sandwiches (turkey, steak, pork etc.) One or two fruits, usually apples or bananas
3:00 - Whey shake, sometimes a large bowl of grain cereal, vegetables (peppers, beans, or maybe onions) and a meat of some sort, usually something left over from the night before.
6:00 - 7:00: Dinner, totally varies night to night. But trust me, it is large and vast.

Well I'm in high school so I have limited say in what I have and when I eat during the day, but I don't think my diet is half bad.

eating light today, feels way better. cereal, fruit, yogurt etc

I just had dinner. Started out with 5 boiled eggs. Proceeded to eat a plate and a half of rice with assorted vegetables and cheese. On the side of that a salad containing large white beans and sellery (sp?). After this two pieces of pie. The pie containing a total of ten eggs, half a litre of whipped cream and ten weird fruits. To the pie I had a couple glasses of sherry, and after that a couple more glasses and I'm feeling comfortably drunk. For the moment I am enjoying a cup of coffee with just a tad bit of milk in it.

There was a bodybuilder on the ship my husband was on when he was in the Navy that had super big arms and had to have v's cut under his sleeves and more fabric sewn in to accomodate them. I saw him once on a dependence cruise and his arms were something else.

all i have to say on those freakish looking bodybuilders is that shit cant be entirely healthy

the heart doesnt grow proportional to the the extra weight added of pure muscle, these guys will suffer the same fate most obese people do if they are like that most of thier lives, heart disease, thier heart will constantly be doing double time to catch up on the cardio. poor gas tanks, so to speaks, so when they workout they strain an already strained heart

i also wonder on knee joints and ankles, like obese people, if these people run regularly will they destroy thier feet and legs. bone structure, ligaments,tendons have thresholds that do do not adapt exponentailly with that much weight and girth added. if you wieght like 400+ of pure muscle i can see this happening, the ankle joint especially is very delicate

i could be entirely wrong, im no expert on the subject. i just notice from watching mma the bigger,bodybuilder-type heavyweights always gas out faster and usually realize no amount of cardio training is gonna help so some drop weight. and granted i know when those dude get older they will probably retire and drop the weight unlike an obese person, but its not uncommon for obese people to be dead at 50 by heart problems

My goal personally is to look like Matt Hughes from UFC, i think he has a great physique, not to mention hes probably strong as fuck.

Yesterday I tried those suitcase deadlifts for the first time. I did them with just the bars, how in the world do you balance them? (had a hell of a time keeping them in my hands) Does it get easier to balance once you add weights?

What are they??? Uh, foods. Sources of fat and protein. You can find them in a supermarket.

The only strange thing in the above list is babaganoush (which is smoked eggplant dip - sounds nasty, tastes brilliant.) Surely you know what satay chicken is... ? Sundried tomato cheese is perhaps cheese, with sundried tomatoes in it?

Well, that's the bare minimum of what I was looking for. I thought I'd go and find these things this morning, and instead of wandering around the store looking for something I've never seen before, I'd ask you. Also, I buy things either in the bulk or if it is anything less than about 20 cents per ounce. Smoked eggplant does sound disgusting though. I think I'll just see if I can find those pistachio nuts.....
Do you mean to say that these nuts are a meal by themselves for you? You don't....like.....dip them in a steaming cup of pig fat or rap them in slices of cheese?

Question. Is it bad to work out everybody part everytime you go to the gym? I notice most people and exercise routines have different body parts spread into different days. I was just wondering if doing everything on the same day is a bad idea. I will most likely be spreading stuff into days when I get my license though.

You are looking at foods in a very specific diet that I'm doing now. Those foods are all fat/protein foods with very few carbs in them. This is NOT a normal list of foods to be eating all the time. In the above diet, I am treating these horribly unappetising things (e.g. a chunk of cheese) as a meal. It is a boring way to eat and highly not normal. Forget about trying to reproduce it.

The ten best foods (not in order):

Vegetables (including salad)
Meat
Oatmeal
Brown rice
Pasta
Fruit
Protein Powder
Meat
Nuts
Cheese
Good Oils (olive, flax, mustardseed etc.)

Well, to start with it depends on how much (volume/intensity) you train the various body parts, what exercises you do, how often you go to the gym... and other stuff.

Be more specific.

Alright. I go 3 times a week. I'll do 2 different things for chest. 3 sets of dips, along with incline flys is a typical one. Each set of dips to about failure. 7-8 reps with incline flys. 3 sets of standing curls, about 7 reps each. Then I'll do a few sets of preacher curls. 3 sets of cable tricep pull downs, about 7 reps each. 4 sets of leg presses, 6 reps each, increasing in weight. Either t-bar or seated rows, 3 sets, 8 reps. 3 sets of military presses, usually 6 reps unless I can get a few more out on the last set. Then i'll do 3 sets of both seated calf raises and seated wrist curls with the palms up..
