If some-one could convert Saintek's GuitarPro files or just put some more Immortal in Powertab, it would be highly appreciated. Especially the remaining ATHOW songs and also Sons of Northern Darkness would be awesome.

I'm working on some tracks from Pure Holocaust,then I'm gonna try to finish up the rest of the songs on Sons.Any particular song you want done on Sons?

You can do it fairly easily by exporting the guitar (and bass) tracks from guitarpro in midi format, then import them into powertab, and they'll sound pretty good, but things like tying notes together doesn't seem to work, but you get the idea

Out of curiosity, does this site consider it plagiarism to make peoples' text tabs into PT's?

There are a bunch that I'd do, but I'm a bit worried to get banned.

Indeed i do Hence how i worked out how to port them to/from each other... it works pretty well, you get the whole song in the correct tempo etc. just has issues with tying the notes together, which im assuming is an application-specific thing

I prefer GP, but i find it really difficult (near impossible) to actually create tabs in them though, i can never work out the bpm or time sig Also the ability to add drums and a plethora of other instruments is an obvious plus point. PT sounds too computer-like, GP just sounds a little better, clearer sounding

@Unadorned, if you turn txt tabs into powertab, just put the original author as co-author. I think that's cool with everybody.

@Sqol: I know you can export to midi and then import, but I don't have GP Besides, sometimes it really fucks up the 'notation' (I mean: instead of 10th fret A string, an open G string or so), so you'll have some work on it nonetheless.

@LordofStorms: any song of Sons would be great, thanks! And the more, the better.

Yea, it puts 2 guitars into one track sometimes, it seemed to work fairly well with the track i tried.... i'll just stick to GP
