hi, im looking for a new amp i play mostly death and thrash metal, e.g nile, morbid, slayer, kreator etc i have£500 to spend max. I play an esp m-2oo with hz pickups, which i will soon fit up with active emgs. i Just need to hear a few opinions

I dont know how much it would cost in europe but here in the States , You can get a Crate Shockwave . SS amp which is a killer amp IMHO great for your type of metal for under $1000. Head and Cab.
Look at Harmony Central. Crate 3500 H.
I played it , It is a heavy metal wet dream for pretty cheap.

Sounds like you want a tube amp in that case. I'd go for a used XXX or 5150 if you want tubes... They can be had for 350$ at the least.

ive never seen a xxx or 5150 for $350, even when they were cheap. The average price i see on ebay for a 5150 these days is like $600-700 and for an xxx is like $500-625. took me a while to buy an XXX, those fuckers fly like hotcakes now that they don't make them anymore.

you can get a randall rg100sc on ebay for like $250, they sound real good for the price.

I wish But i never saw one on e-bay anywhere. Not in europe or the netherlands that is. And shipping from overzeas is probably expensive. But yeah, everybody says it gets you really close to the dying fetus sounds and I love dying fetus' sound.

It can get a dead-on Dying Fetus sound, but its capable of a wider spectrum of sounds, too. But mostly, if you want tighter-than-tight ballsy, gigantic bottom end with machine-like punch and razor-crisp high end, then this is your amp.

And I cannot stress enough : You have to have two 4 ohm cabs to use this amp the way it was made to be used. 350 watts at 2 ohms, I promise you you'll want all the wattage and headroom it has to offer.
