its ok not great , you have to use it on clean , there are several settings , I sold mine awhile ago , I think I used the Piezo setting , What you can do is go to GC , they always have boss pedals on display sit there and demo it , Honestly I think if you wanted to play clean with a nice chorus effect it would sound just as good. The AC2 is ok , Its not going to dupe an acoustic exactly , you may like it , this was just my opinion

It gives it a "clanky" and "hollow" sound to simulate an acoustic, but it sounds nowhere as thick and rich enough.

i have to switch my amp to clean for this ? cause the main reason i wanna buy this is we play a lot of acoustic interludes within our metal and this pedal seems cool, i can just switch from acoustic back to overdrive easily. So it doesn't sound like a real acoustic ?!! damn... well i'm going to hit GC up tomarrow and check it out. thx for your input.

its not too bad. i have an acoustic simulator on my amp. i jus prefer that sound even if its not acoustic. i was wondering if you send and acousticised signal to an acoustic amp would that be convincing. like electric--acoustic sim>--acoustic amp

it is only a simulation. it's going to sound as close to a real acoustic as a line 6 recto emulation sounds like a real mesa recto. you get a similar feel and quality.
you can buy a mold of your favorite pornstars ass, but nothing is quite like experiencing the real thing.
then again you may like the mold better.

try looking into a peizo system. my parker fly deluxe has a fishman peizo setup and it sounds amazing. about as close to a real acoustic sound as you'll get from an electric body.
