What is the "Third to third" Cadence?


1.) Common tone
2.) Similar motion in the upper 3 voices
3.) the "Tripled root doubling" in I


Have to Triple the root in the Final tonic

and Add a Passing 7th in the V.

A "third to third movement" in the soprano,alto , or tenor

Is that a question, or a explaination?

I'm kinda a theory newbie, so please elaborate?

He's talking about four-part vocal style ( choir: soprano, alto, tenor,bass) and common movements of chords in that context, called cadences.
Hope that helps......wer'e doing cadences in yr 9 ( 14 y/old) music as of now. So many bloody rules......
anyway.

...uhhhh, I don't think so buddy. Sounds more like you're just "stopping" the sound of music before a cadence can take place.
