im not too big on power metal, but i do like dragonforce, i have only heard like 2 songs of theirs, valley of the damned being the only one i can remember, and i fuckin love that song, though the solo is rather simple.

dragonforce seem to be getting really big, they played my local shithole club 'bradford rios' at the end of last year, and my mate Niczy who went says they are an amazing live band. he knighted the singer with a plastic sword lol

Dragonforce
Awesome power metal band from London. The vocalist is a little high but has excellent control of his voice. Not Tecchio or Sanders high.... but high. Then we have the guitars... well. Up there with the likes of Lynch and Vai. Excellent sweeping and 200 bpm 16th note riffage, and thats not even getting to the solos. I've never come across a faster, more technically melodic Power Metal band. And I know alot of Power Metal, believe me. Its happy as hell, and somehow "triumphant sounding", but it still kicks alot of ass. Musicians, enjoy.

Sonic Firestorm was indeed the best album of 2004.

I watched a show of theirs when they opened for Maiden, while everybody else was moshing I just stood there in the front row, jaw dropped, amazed at how fast they can play.
Later, during Maiden's set, I got Sam Totman to sign my ticket. I was so thrilled I carried it in my hand all the way back home.
