Hooking up two heads to eachother
I have a Hughes and Kettner Warp7 100w solid state head, and a Peavey Rockmaster Vintage Tube Series 120w tube head. I was wondering if I could hook these two amps together, and have the tube warmth, depth, and tone, but the warp 7's channel's. Would this be possible? Ive seen others do it, and they had two cabs as well, but I only have a Laney 2x12" recto cab. Anyone have any ideas? The peavey has a Preamp out/Poweramp in and aux inputs, and the warp 7 has an FX return and FX send inputs. Thanks for any available information beforehand.

Hmm I aways wanted to put my Peavey 5150 and a Marshall JCM2000 through a Marshall cabinet. Has anyone tried this...how does it sound?
However I was wondering let's say you want to use a 5150 for one song and a Marshall for another can you go to one head and put that on standby and just play with the head you want for that song?

You probably can, but as for the sound of one amp, and the channels of another, no, I severly doubt it. You'd need an ABY switch to pull off the head idea. Thats my only solution for anything you seem to want to do.

Just plug the amps output into each other and plug the guitar into the Peavey send jack and the speaker cab into the return jack of the Warp 7.

Well, what you could do is use the Warp's FX output, and plug it into the poweramp in of the Peavey. You would still have the Warps chanels and tone, and you'd also have a bit of tube warmth and powertube saturation (more importan than pre-amp tube distortion for tube tones IMO)

as far as i know, the output from a tube amp should be plugged into a speaker cab, where there is a load on it, otherwise the poweramp could be fried. but im not sure about this, and im unwilling to try it.
