Doc from Vader dead.
According to a posting at the Polish music web site CGM.pl, former VADER drummer Krzysztof "Docent" Raczkowski (a.k.a. Doc) has passed away at age 35. No further details about his death are currently available.
In a March 2005 statement announcing Doc's departure from the group, VADER frontman Peter said, "Doc pretty hard tried to 'fight' against his weaknesses, which were troubles for all of us. Finaly he had not prevailed over that battle... All in all, he attempted. . . VADER today is not just a friendship anymore — it's our life with armies of man involved in music, releases and — first of all — fans waiting for shows or new albums... This is a high responsibility, not too many know about. If a person, even the most talented one, cannot stand it — has to leave... That was Doc's decision as well."
In an April 2005 interview with AbrasiveRock.com, VADER guitarist Mauser elaborated on Doc's "weaknesses," stating, "He had a problem with alcohol and this is the problem. Maybe in the future, if he will be alright, he may be back in the band. Maybe someday. We will see what happens."

It's confirmed. Cause of death hasn't been revealed but I found info on several forums that it might be drugs. He's been fighting with this addiction for a very long time.

I would not be surprised that this is due to his drug problem. Perhaps an overdose or suicide. Take a look at some old and new pics of Doc and you can easily tell he was deteriorating. RIP man, he was an incredible drummer, he was with Vader all the way up until last year.
Pete Sandoval(Morbid Angel/Terrorizer) looks like shit nowadays too, I really hope he doesn't let drugs get the best of him either...

I hope so to, but if Pete's on drugs and stuff, how the HELL does he make it through MA shows without having a heart attack or something...I mean, the pressure on his body must be fucking staggering and i'd have thought any form of drugs would just make him feel worse. |

They said the same thing about Mitch Hedberg. Turns out that was natural causes too. Don't listen to shit on forums, 60% of the time.
Normally I'd be a dick and say good riddance. But then again, he was the only one in Vader with talent.

goddamn what are you talking about? Pete said himself in an interview that he quit drinking and everything way back in the Blessed days cause it was too hard to play. I really dont think he does that shit, smoke the odd weed every now and then is ok though. He's just a small guy and he's like 40 years old now.... what else do you expect? |
