Im guessing that means 200-300 for both.If you want to buy new,Have a look at the lower end Ibanez,LTD's,Jacksons, ect.
.You can do better buying used, and there is more to choose from.Check out ebay.
And Cubes are good for the price.

I'd get a low-to-mid grade Ibanez RG model, but that's just me. You could prob score a RG350 or RG370 off ebay for around that. Who can beat that nice low profile wizard neck. Good stuff.

Ebay is lacking any good RGs in that price range at the moment. Trust me, I'm scouring it trying to buy cheap. I suggest an RG 320 or above. And save up a little more money so maybe you can go that extra model up. It'll be worth it.

haha, they are disgusting.
I think Ibanez guitars have a really nice feel to them, even the cheaper ones. I would go for Ibanez.

That looks like a good axe you're bidding on, but since you're a beginner, a floating bridge might be a pain in the ass. I would suggest an Ibanez RG321, a mahogany fixed-bridge that goes for $270 new. Has a Wizard II neck, I was about to buy it but I got a Jackson JS30 series Kelly for $30 more.

You won't regret that gear you chose. It will be addequate until your in a gigging band.

Seems to me like it's a very good guitar. Neck-through, Edge II bridge, Wizard II neck, mahogany... the only thing is the pickups, for a guitar that expensive new, I would expect something better. But hell, if you're going to steal it for $239 who gives a fuck! Buy it before someone else sees it and slap some passives in there when you have cash for it.
I was going to buy the Roland Cube 30, but I checked out the Tech 21 Trademark 30 and I liked it so much more... It might not look as tough but it has better sound quality and you can shape the sound a LOT. No special effects like phaser/flanger and shit but I find that stuff useless.
The Tech 21 = $270
Roland Cube = $230
The difference in price is minimal, both have the same wattage, and the sounds you can get from the Tech 21 are worth the extra 40-50$

That is a floating bridge guitar. Do not get it (unless you know how to set up floating bridges) because you'll have a lot of problems trying to tune it, and you may end up messing up the action and intonation of the guitar. That was my mistake in buying my second guitar. I bought it and I got frusterated trying to tune it until I figured it out. Get a fixed bridge guitar for now and in the future get a floating bridge
