Would you do this

I have a ESP eclipse with dual EMG 81s, would you swap out the neck for a 85 , I have a 81/60 combo guitar already , just curious.

totally... the 81/85 combo is so chunky when you use them at the same time. Great for low end rhythms, but for leads you'd wanna hit the selector to the 81.

...? odd choice, id say just 81 for rythem and juet 85 for leads.... ive never heard them played for rythem at the same time, but im sure the 81 alone would sound better.

LOL!

Anyways, can't say from personal experience about the EMGs, but hey Zakk has the 81/85 setup, enough persuasion for me.

Many use an 81 in both the bridge and neck,it all comes down to personal preference.Try a guitar with an 85 in the bridge and see if you prefer it to the 81.

yea if you get the 85 you can just swap it in the bridge since emgs have the quick connect.
