Hey we're in the studio right now so i have not much time to write.
Vogg will probably use Randall Warhead, Sansamp PSA-1 and maybe Mesa
Triple Rectifier for recording guitars on this album. Guitars -
his custom Ran, and 7 string Ibanez Universe, model made before
2001, so it's pure handmade, very nice guitar.
Anyway, sound of the guitar depends of who's playing and how he's
doing it
Vogg's English is quite OK but he's not checking his e-mails too often
recently. Hope my answers helped you at least a little bit

Decapitated are working a new album? Nice, hope it`s sounds more like winds of creation.

And less like The Negation. I love decapitated's first two releases, but the negation bores me for the most part. The Fury is pretty good though.

The Negation was decent enough, but winds and nihility are supperior in any way. Negation is kinda like they forgot how to play techincal

Hope their new vocalist adds a bit more creativity, the old one (Sauron is his name?) kinda brought the music down a few notches for me, not as much style as the rest of the band

I've listened to Atrophia Red Sun a bit(Covan's previous band) and though the music is kind of boring, the vocal performance is real nice and at times sounds a lot like the old Sauron on WoC.

The Negation had a nice tone, but I prefer the ones on WoC and Nihility, not to mention that those albums are much better music-wise than The Negation.

Yea i hope so too, I didnt mind sauron atleast it was really defined growl rather than really muddy undefined (there producers/studio workers are really good at their job) But i got bored of sauron after negation, i didnt mind the negation that much i like all their cd's.


Yea I thought it wasnt as techinical too at first. Then went and read a lot of their interviews and now I understand why it doest sound as technical. I recomend reading the interviews, when i find the site that has all of them ill post it up.

hmm.... he kinda say that the riffs are less complicated, but the song structures are more techincal than before.... To me, the negation`s song structurs dosn`t really seem that more complicated.But I will listen some more to be sure. He is right about crazy structures can make songs just as techincal though. Agreed back on topic, if vogg will use a randall warehead, i expect the guitar to sound great. That is a really nice amp.

so is engl, and 5150 and all that which he has prolly used before, i would think the 5150 and engls to give him a tighter more defined sound than a warhead.

After i got Winds of creation I was blown away, the mixing on nihility is better than WoC i think, it would be cool for them to re-mix it so it sounds a little cleaner like nihility.

Fuck y'all bitches, I must've listened to Winds, Nihility, and The First Damned CD's a total of around 1000 times, I'm their biggest fan, no shit. Decapitated kick major ass. I'll be seeing them live with Cryptopsy, Suffo, Vader(again), and Dew-Scented in November.

Maybe vogg is living a second life, where he works for the army and plays 7 string ran v's, and gets all buff'd up by working out and records videos of himself playing cannibal corpse, and also tabs their songs.

Edit: The vocalist is the same guy from Atrophia Red Sun, he can sound very similar to Sauron at times.

The soloes on Winds... are amazing. The one on track 7 or 8 is stunning. Check the speed of the picking! The later is missing that. There are some gems though in their recent stuff, like Eternity Too Short and Spheres Of Madness.

Kinda funny you asked....cus I haven't played it in threed years. Right before I joined the army, I worked at a sandwhich shop where I saved up my cash and put my Randall Warhead on layaway....I got it and not a month later I was off to basic training.

I've played it through cabs once or twice...and it is loud as fuck...although it didn't really have the desired tonal effect I was looking for, I have a few plans for it. (EQ....racks....whatever)

So it has been at home rapped up in sheets in the AC for 3 years now.
