Hey take a look at this 8-string: http://www.blackmachine.co.uk/assets/g23.jpg

They're alright, but the headstock scares me a little bit(looks like it might break easily). But if I were to order a custom guitar from overseas, I'd get a Ran, because I'm sure it would be much cheaper and it would be exactly what I'm looking for.

I think those guitars look pretty nice. I liked the whole idea of a guitar that has clarity and thick tone, that's something I've never been able to achive to the fullest extent with any of the guitars I've played.

Yeah, Pin does use them, hes an amazing guitarist, and Sikth fully rule, saw them live a couple of months back, very technical.

I like how the strings just go straight into the tuners. That looks pretty cool. The headstocks are pretty ugly, although it is kinda cool how you can see through the strings. That's pretty original, as far as I know.
They guitars look pretty cool overall, but they don't exactly blow my mind. Also, with a guitar so thin, I'm not sure what kind of sustain you would get. Another thing that sucks about the guitars being so thin is you can't use 'em to smash your amp at the end of a killer set. They would fall appart. And that's just not metal.

They certainly look dangerous enough. I would like to play one someday, but that headstock design kinda worries me as well. It's like it could snap at any moment.

Dont fret

I know Blackmachine guitars very well. There is no need to worry about headstocks breaking. All materials are of the highest quality as is Doug Campbell's craftsmanship. Since I started playing guitar I have travelled the world with my band (House of Fix) and played many high end instruments. When I find a guitar that is better for heavier styles than a Blackmachine, I will let you know...but don't hold your breath.

im liking the headstock... has an interesting edge, without the flambuoyancy that B.C. rich and moreso Moser Custom Shop seem to love.

and i think that a guitar that thin would be just amazing to play... i have an RG and it hurts my pick-hand-shoulder to play becayse i have to stick my shoulder forward to get my arm around the neck and access the strings. Not a fan of the rg style though...
