Attn: All Ibanez WD-7 Weeping Demon Users
I decided to have a post for all the Ibanez Weeping Demon, since I looked at other forums and they didnt have many Ibanez Weeping Demon users; this has had the most. Post reviews, settings, other gear you have, uses you have found, ways you set up your amp, and other things that the Ibanez Weeping Demon is great for. I run it like this: Hamer Vector Flametop Flying V -> Rocktron Metal Planet Distortion (setup for OD though) -> Ibanez Weeping Demon (Range: 3-5, but can vary to anywhere, Level: -1 - +1, Q: 0-7, Lo: 0-10) -> Rocktron Rampage Distortion (this one, is set for distortion with or without the Weeping Demon and Metal Planet) -> Peavey Rockmaster Vintage tube non-master control 120w tube head (similar to what Jimi used) -> Laney 2x12" oversized recto cab. I also have a Danelectro Black Coffee dist for black metal distortion and H&K Warp 7 100w ss head.

its not too bad. but im not very good at controlling it. i cant use it for lows moans and highs squeals without changing a switch. when its on normal i can only use it for the highs, then thers a low pass switch or something that makes it real good for well your low end. thiking of selling/trading it for a crybaby.

agreed. apparently it has problems? i dunno. If I got this, it would be for looks. But I guess I might as well just get a crybaby, or an auto-wah (just for certain stuff, because it might just be easier).

Auto wahs are for people who want a rotary type wah sound without having to keep their foot in time with what they are playing. *points at himself* I'd obviously get a real wah too, but the auto wah has its advantages. Mind you I'm not playing metal.

The Boss Auto Wah is Ok
I use the Boss auto wah I forget what its call not as a auto wah but you can use it as a filter effect , Its as if you keep the heel down and the front of a Wah pedal up.Its sounds pretty cool . Nothing beats a real Wah though.

Not having a wah does.
I'm not too crazy about those damn things. If I ever get one, I'll only use it on my clean sound, I like that funky sound you get. It can be useful to accent a solo sometimes, as long as you're not Kirk Hammet.

I think you mean the touch wah?I owned the Ibanez tone-loc autowah. They are attack sensitive as to how hard you pick the strings, rather than controlled with your foot.As i remember it was good for hendrix type stuff, but in the end i got frustrated with it and gave it away.
