Looking for new lead

I'm looking for a new lead guitar. What are some good brand recomendations for a good lead guitar? Are BC Rich guitars good, I've never tried them.

you might like a Jackson guitar a lot for teh soloing. Though any guitar can do it, its just what you're most comfortable playing.

I personally would'nt recommend a BC Rich unless its one of the older models with a single "R" on the headstock.

Me personally would avoid Jacksons now

Ever since Fender bought em ,they quality will probably go down the shitter,
If you want a decent guitar for under a grand check out a Dean ,or a LTD especially the EC-1000 with EMGs or duncans or the Mustaine DV-8 which is a Jackon in LTD clothing. both real nice for the money with good tone and balls to boot .

try some rich's, and the ibanez RG series. Jackson guitars are poopy unless theyre like 2grand. If you have 2 grand, look at the high end jacksons, and some gibson les pauls . Or if you want to wait 5 months, order a ran.

For solos, i prefer the rich's over the Rg's because the neck is like a milimeter smaller... which makes a huge difference to me... and ibanez's tend to warp a tiny bit, making your action high on the high frets, therefore tapping becomes a bitch. Les pauls are good because they have the 9degree neck angle, which makes it alot easier to play, less shoulder pain in your picking arm, and easy ass tapping... but no whammy...

A cheap jackson is way better than a 90% OF bc richs and just as good as ibanez .

HAH! You recommend bc rich, but say Jackons under 2k suck?

Back on topic, jackons and ibanez are well known for their lead guitars.

I would like a Jackson guitar but there are no near dealers to where I live. I don't want an Ibanez RG series because of the floating bridge. It is so hard to tune a floating bridge. ESP guitars sound good.

Jackson DXMG or DKMG. They are cheap and have a floating bridge. Just change it to an original Floyd and you'll be happy.

dude, get an ibanez rg321 if you want an rg without a floating bridge. if you have more to spend, then get the rgt42dxfx, its neck through, h-h and has an amazingly good 24 fret wizard neck which is perfect for leads...and...fixed bridge.

i say you have a look at those two guitars.

What is the difference between neck thru construction, set neck thru construction and bolt neck thru construction? I am planning to get either LTD Deluxe Series LTD Viper-1000 w/EMG or ESP Standard Series Viper. They both already have active EMG pickups installed to them and that’s what I wanted because I do not know how to change guitar pickups and I cannot find any qualified person that can do it here. I have to see if there are any dealers near where I live. The problem is every time I click the dealer hyperlink it opens a weird dialogue box with something about cold fusion. I tried different browser and computers and they all open that weird dialogue box. Does ESP have any dealers in the United Emirates? If it doesn't I'll settle in getting an Ibanez rg model.

Changing pickups is realy not that hard. I have two left hands, and even I managed to get pickups installed in my H-H and S-S-H guitars.

if you want EMGs just buy the set...the instructions come with them...the wires are color-coded...all you need is solder...its really not that hard...
