Have any of you guys heard of this band?
They are from Finland, I believe. They wear prosthetics that are very real looking, and might I say, very creative. Pretty crazy outfits, you can't even tell they're fucking human under those things.
And while it is my personal humble opinnion that wearing makeup and costumes is knda silly and it should in no way take you longer to get dressed than to play your set, I really like these guys.
Their sound really stands out in the world of metal today, as they don't even tune down. They play in standard, and their guitars sound a little like AC/DC sometimes, which by the grace of god certainly can't be a bad thing. The riffs aren't too complex, power chords and such, but it's still pretty catchy stuff.
I accidentally downloaded the video for Would You Love a Monsterman when I was downloading Mudvayne videos, and ever since I heard that song, I've been hooked on these guys. Definitelly check out that video, the little girl who's in it looks freaky as fuck near the end, that look in her eyes freaked me out.
The keyboards player is a chick, and even with the stupid costume, you can tell she's really gifted, and not just in a musical way. Check out their web site, www.lordi.org. If you like traditional old school metal, you'll probably like these guys.

It was before my heart was overtaken by the intense hatred for nu metal. Besides, Mudvayne are allright. Even back then I could only listen to them for so long before I turned it off. I tire of it rather quickly.

I just watched the "Would You Love a Monsterman?" video. I must say, awesome stuff. I like the way he sings and the music is really catchy. I find the masks and makeup kinda odd, but it fits their music I guess. I thinks it's just as creepy as it is funny.

Heavily influenced by Kiss? Yes. Ripoff? I wouldn't say.
They used to be members of the Kiss Army, whatever the hell that is.
Anyway, if you wanna get real technical about it, Kiss didn't have a chick keyboard player with big tits. Kiss didn't have a keyboard player at all.
Lordi owns your soul, you might as well admit it, it's a well known fact.
I would very much like to see these guys live, I wonder what they'd sound like. I am also looking forward to their next album, the last two have been great.
I actually emailed the keyboard player once asking what her cup size was and what they dress like for Halloween. She never replied.

I just wonder why...
