Congrats. Looks like a nice poweramp.
I use a Digitech 2101 with my ENGL 930/120. IMHO a perfect preamp, just check to get the latest software version (should be 3.0) and the second processor if you are going to use the effects.
I use the 2101 for a quite dry sound. Just a compressor, distortion, an eq and that's it.
The distortion sounds really good. You can choose between solid-state or tube sounds, both can sound very brutal and heavy.

i think it means 19 inches across, that has nothing to do with rack space.

yeah, the only downside of my Peavey 60/60 is it's freakin' huge. I think it's around 4U...
Yeah, buy the 530. Then you wont need any fuckin' clips
(i'm sorry i havent gotten to those, but it SERIOUSLY wouldnt do justice through a fucking MG cab...)
Although I have heard that quite a few DM bands use the Digitech (Decrepit Birth I believe uses them??)
And if Def checks out this thread, what would you recommend cramming into my 530 and my 60/60 for slightly lower gain (SLIGHTLY!!) and more "rounded off" highs? My 60/60 runs 6L6s, by the way.

it's only 3u.
2-3u spaces is about average for a tube poweramp.

Really? fuckin bastards at guitar center saying it's 4.... my brain went... "SHIT I'm gonna need to spend more on a rack case!"
Cool, I only need a 6 space now.
And anyone on recommendations for new tubes in either the 530 or the 60/60? I dont know how old the tubes are in the 60/60, so I might wanna know just in case they die on me soon.
And yeah, the 60/60 and 530 would be a good match.
I'm gonna have to sell my cab on the 'bay and either splurge on that carvin cab or wait a while and snag the vader 2x12....

Yeah i'm under the impression that the tubes in my 60/60 arn't the best and ive been meaning to get some JJ's for a while, when you crank it up it has a really ear piercing prescence to it and I read a review somewhere that said changing his tubes from the cheaper stock ones fixed that and made it sound nicer.
Ive got a 6u rack, Peavey 60/60 at the bottom, a space, Rocktron Intellifex, space and a POD shuvved on top till I get a preamp.
