The Locust
Anyone know much about these guys?
Fucking wierd production, odd guitar sounds and just pretty wierd sounding band.
Getting into a bit of their shit recently, they sound pretty awesome to me so far. If anyone's a fan what albums are the best?

Yeah I have a cd a friend burnt for me.I never listen to it unless I'm fucked up,which is not that often.Their good at what they do,but not my cup of tea.

I hate The Locoust (except for one 7"). Melt Bananna just pisses me off because they tried to expand the Japanese Noise scene, but failed.

I checked them out after one of my friends bought a Locust jumper without even knowing that The Locust is a band.
They are ok but I think Prosthetic Cunt is far better at doing what they do, making a far more obscure mix of Grindcore and Electro. I also believe that PxCx and Halo are a lot more wierd sounding.

Dig deeper, you will find out that PxCx are nothing in the obscure factor (don't get me wrong, I like 'em). Try some Gigantic Brain, Blue Holocaust, or Compulsive Vulvolatric Intruders (all of which are electro-grind). |

Wrong again, Schmoopy. I don't let people reply to tab submissions just to say they hate a song or band because it has nothing to do with the fucking tab. The tab submission forum, obviously, is a lot more strict than this one, and if any of you had any clue how we are supposed to do our jobs, you'd know we are supposed to cut down on unnecessary levels of chit chat within that forum. Obviously, some guy posting "this band sucks!" would fall into the category of mindless banter we are supposed to disallow.
This forum, on the other hand, is much more relaxed. All I have to do in here is remove spam, move/close/delete threads that don't belong in this forum, and try to keep the level of crybaby bitch fights to a minimum. Unfortunately, the number of members here suffering from diaper rash is very high, as we can witness in this thread alone.

I could only find some Blue Holocaust mp3s but they weren't really wierd, as I expected. They just sound like early grindcore with a drum machine and gargling vocals. Even Shunt Incision sounds weirder. |

Well anyway, I just got their record imported a few days ago, and I think it's awesome. They have the drummer from Cattle Decap at the moment. This is more crazy shit than Anal Cunt. It's like Dillinger Escape Plan meets Blood Brothers meets a frequency generator.

Well, you decribe them... They are kinda, too unique.
Maybe if you went and grabbed your Nokia 3315 or 3330 mobile phone, recorded a monophonic ringtone, warped it beyond recognition, threw in some fucking gutteral screaming/barking, placed in some really tight drumming, took a meatsaw, plugged it into an amp and pretended it was a guitar, put some square tooth distortion on it, that's what you get.
Any better an attempt? You try to describe them.
