guitar tuning and vocals
Okay here is my problem. Lately my vocals have been a little um... bad. So i was reading an interview with kimberly goss, and she said that the tuning on sinergy's first cd was making her vocals worse than normal. so i remembered back when I was first starting to sing and realised we were in standard. and we are now in D standard. All the songs sound bad in standard, but my voice is better. In D the songs are better but the vocals are not so good. Any help

My advice is...:
Listen to different bands and sing along with the vocalist.
I don't know what style of music your into. I sing death vocals, so when I was younger, I learned to mimich the voices of John Tardy, Barney Greenway, Glen Benton, Maurizio Lacono, and the singer from Cancer..
I've got roughly 14 years of vocal experience from this era..
It's help me considerably with different tones, vice versa.

practice changing pitches and tone, im a grindcore vocalist but we have two vocalists so what i cant do the other vocalist fills in. but all i can say really is just practice it til you get it right and can sing with D standard. if that makes sense

Lucky me, I've quit singing--all I do now is growl; puts hair on the nuts, deepens the voice, and makes you wanna work out.
The advice you need is obvious. Practice in d standard. ....How the hell can you sing high better than singing low? That doesn't make any sense to me.
