A Suggestion For Tabbing
Just wanted to pass on a method I use to help me tab (especially helpful for the Mortician tabs I did). Put a disc into your cd player and turn the volume to max and then pull the headphone jack out just a little bit and the sound of the cd should go to a kind of mono sound where you hear mostly the guitars up front and everything else is background. Doesn't work for every cd but for most I've tried so far. Works great for the remastered Gorguts Considered Dead/Erosion disc. If anyone tries this out, let me know how it works out for you.

I havent used it much so far, but i just got this program called "Transcribe!", and it kicks ass. You can slow it down without changing pitch and all, but making the guitars louder is definately a high point.

That's what I like most about this little trick is that guitars are louder and even with the cd player on max, once it goes into this mono sound it's not too loud.

and this is not in the tabbing forum becouse?
another 'tip' would be to have a sterio that has left and right speakers that you can uhplug so you can just hear one side or the other. on mine I have four speakers (two ofor right two for left) then a swtich that lets me hear just the right side or just the left (or both)

It's not in the tabbing forum because I forgot about that section. It's been a while since I've posted anything here. If someone's able to put this into the tabbing forum that would be appreciated. Yea I got a stereo too that lets me do the left and right channel switching which was really helpful for tabbing Morbid Angel.

A very badass free mixing program I know of is Audacity, you can do all sorts of effects and shit in that, including change the pitch of a song without speeding it up or slowing it down. So if i have a standard tuned guitar and i wanna play decapitated or somthing, ill use that program to change it 12.2 percent up to make it go from D to E. I recomend anyone to check this audacity program out.
