Wrong Manual or me?

When I was in New York and I bought a PreSonus Eureka for my mics and brought it with me back. The book and the back of the mic preamp stated that it takes it take 110 or 220 and that it uses 10 Amperes. So when I plugged it to 220 volts it burned and I was lucky only the fuse got burned. So when I took out the fuse it stated that the fuse works on 220 volts but the fuse only works on 0.5 Ampere. So I was figuring that the fuse got burned because it got too much ampere because the machine said it uses 10 ampere. So I went to a shop and bought a 7 ampere fuse and put it in the machine and plugged the machine into 110 volts (for safety reasons because maybe the machine cannot take more than 110 and 220 will burn the machine since the specifications are wrong) and it worked! It worked on 7 ampere which means that the machine doesn't operate on 10 ampere but uses 7 ampere or less! For all I know it can work on 1 ampere but I haven't tried yet, or it can work on 0.5 ampere (which it was originally) but the 220 volts I plugged it into gave it more than 0.5 ampere and burned the fuse. That is why I'm plugging it into 110 volts for safety reasons. So I want to know plugging it into 110 volts and using 7 ampere is safe and that it works to its optimum use (get the right power to work fully). Is something wrong with my comprehending or the book manual?

your running 220v into a unit setup for 110v. it may say it's capable of running 220v, but itf you bought it in the us it's set up for 110.

contact the company and ask them what you can do.
